Detailed Reviews
We have stayed 3 times at this agritourismo and I can give it nothing less that 5 Stars.
Maria is lovely, her son Emanelle as well.
The breakfast is like no other. The view of the vineyards amazing, and the hosts are helpful in every respect.
nb their main business is making wine! save room in your car to take some home.
The minibar has everything you need.
I cannot recommend this place enough.

Excellent location, beautiful rooms, and certainly clean... disappointed by the tasting at 11.00 in the morning with 2 breadsticks and a bit of accompanying cheese. Even the breakfast didn't convince me. But still worth a try…Recommended

We stayed here for a few lovely days in early September 2013, right in the middle of the white grape harvest (the reds came a week or two later).
One side of the historic L-shaped building is for people: Mariagrazia Colombo and her son Emanuele live on the ground floor (together with the large wine-tasting room); while their b+b guests stay in one of the 2 rooms on the top floor (together with a nice breakfast room). The rooms are fine, the breakfasts large and exquisite.
We woke up every day to the soft sounds and smells of grapes being separated into grape juice (later fermented and bottled in the 100% vertically-integrated 21st-century equipment) and "mosto" (the skins, pulp and stems). All of this happens in the other side of the charming "L".
Our hosts were extremely gracious, speaking good English for those not lucky enough to converse in Italian. They directed us to a great restaurant at the bottom of the hill- the truffles and pasta were a first-time treat for us.
The Piemonte region in the northwest of Italy is largely ignored by American tourists, who flock to Florence, Rome and Venice- and sometimes Naples and the Dolomites. Bordered on the west and north by the Alps, this large region provides a lot of Italy's wine- among the reds, Barbera, Barolo, Barbaresco, Dolcetto and Gattinara all come to mind. Moscato and the sparkling Asti Spumante are two Piemontese whites.
The rolling hills, particularly in September, are lovely. Pick two or three stops (one for lunch) each day- the Colombos will help you decide the details.
All in all, Giribaldina was a great, if brief, sojourn in our favorite country. Many thanks to Mariagrazia and Emanuele!

La Giribaldina is a great small winery providing a true agriturismo experience. Set in gentle hills of vines, the owners are welcoming and helpful answering questions about the area, along with restaurant recommendations. Our room was spacious, neat, and clean. The bathroom was large and well appointed. Breakfast provided an ample array of baked goods, fruit, meat and cheese. Even though we were there during the busy time of harvest, the wine maker was generous with his time to talk to us. We enjoyed a wine tasting and tour of their facility. Although this may be in the "country," it's not far from Canelli (for wine tasting), Asti, or Alba. This is a lovely spot to experience a low key Piedmont-style country stay.

La Giribaldina is a small wine producer that also offers 2 rooms as agriturismo, in a remote location. The area is very quiet, all you hear in the morning are the birds singing and possibly some workers in the vineyards.
Nice breakfast, tasteful rooms with plenty of information and amenities available. A bit distant approach from the owners though.
