Stayed here for ten days for our honeymoon and we were just blown away with the place. The customer service, attention to detail and the work ethic from every single member of staff here was second to none. They went above and beyond to ensure you felt special, remembering our names and what breakfast orders we had. Cleanliness spot on. Location spot on. Food spot on. Rooms spot on. This hotel was amazing because of its excellent pools and facilities. The staff were very friendly and went above and beyond to be attentive to every need. Food and breakfast selection was magnificent. The team upgraded us to a beautiful pool room for which we were very grateful. Definitely recommend to anybody thinking about going to Koh Sumai

We have just returned from a 12 night stay at the Tongsai Bay. As returning guests we knew to expect an excellent service across the board. However what we didn’t expect was that they have managed to improve on what we already thought was perfection! The Garrya rebrand seems to have complemented the Tongsai, without detracting from the essence of the original concept. The rooms have been re-vamped but the upgrade is very much in keeping with the eco friendly jungle location. It was good to see that the natural tones and furnishings remain. Many of the long-standing staff are still there, and the new additions in staff provide the same faultless service with a warm smile on their faces. Every single member of staff was exceptional! It would be unfair to list individual staff as it is obvious that all departments work together as one team under the expert guidance of Manuel and Mark. I have yet to stay in another hotel where senior management get so involved. The main improvement for us this time was the food, which was already very good. The Tongsai have definitely upped their game here. every single meal we ate was truly delicious. Overall and exceptional experience, we wouldn’t hesitate in recommending to anyone. Thank you to everyone at the Tongsai for making our holiday absolutely perfect. We look forward to seeing you again next year!…

Excellent hotel. Staff is extremely polite and helpful. Always smiling and going to extra mile. 15 minutes ride from the airport. Very relaxing. Would definitely come back. 2 swimming pools, amazing food at the restaurant.

omgoodness the best holiday we have ever had x perfect xxxx i can’t explain how welcome we were made to feel - thunders welcome and blessings by had me in tears ! everyone cared so much ! mark the manager is amazing and helpful ! happy juice made fresh for. the hotel garden every morning ! the beach bed towels are fitted !!!!! and the staff make it all up fresh ! water topped with ice all day ! free catamarans, paddle boards and kayaking ! lovely sax by the ocean ! good amazing x

This is one of the best places we have ever stayed - and we have been all over the world! Private and quiet - we were there over Easter and despite the hotel being “ busy “ it did not feel so. The staff were so lovely - they went above and beyond what was expected and I cannot fault them. They really made our stay. The beach is private - the restaurants and food delicious with plenty of variety - great theme nights if it’s your thing if not there are other à la carte options. A huge thank you to everyone who made our stay so special. We will return.

I visited the Tongsai Bay in April 2023 for six nights as part of a longer trip. This is my third stay at this beautiful hotel, but the first stay since it has been taken under the Banyan Tree (Garrya) umbrella. For the returning guests amongst the readers, the Garrya Group takeover appears to have been a great direction for this hotel. None of the original charm has been lost, the hotel remains a boutique feeling experience with the same staff and the same meticulous attention to detail across the board. I have previously been lucky enough to stay in the insanely beautiful Tongsai Villa, however on this trip it was back into a Beachfront Suite which has benefitted greatly from the recent refurbishment. The same style, the same charm but with an uplift. This hotel remains my favourite hotel in Thailand, and I’ve stayed in a fair few. It has all bases covered from service through to rooms and will take some serious beating. As it’s stands, the takeover has not priced me out, however, thus remains my biggest concern given the alignment to the wider group. I desperately hope this doesn’t change. First class. I’ll be back.…

We had a wonderful stay for our honeymoon at Garrya Tongsai Bay. The staff were all so friendly, comfy beds and delicious buffet breakfast which included our favourite juice station! We had our own private pool and outdoor bath with views right across to Choeng Mon beach ⛱️. Thank you GTB for having us 🥰
