We were in Melati for 3 days and it's a real paradise for children. There is a kids club where the staff really take care of children, my daughter didn’t want to leave there 🙈 Large swimming pools, a separate area for children and a paddling pool. The private pool in the room is a great solution for children. 😍 We ate floating breakfast for the first time and it was amazing. There was a lot of choice at breakfast, also for children. It was very green around, a lot of space to run for kids, nice and quiet neighborhood. Beach with a beautiful color of water, shallow water ideal for children, lots of sunbeds. Many attractions for children, workshops on making candles or pizza, a comfortable cot for children. I recommend especially to families.
A really lovely resort on a nice beach with an amazing pool and everything you would expect of a resort like this, made for a lovely 10-night stay here. Resort is located away from hustle and bustle of Chaweng, but we liked, even preferred this and could easily get the resort shuttle into Chaweng. But more often we got a taxi to Fisherman’s Village instead- loved eating out there. The resort itself had everything we needed and we enjoyed a lot of time there at the beach or in the pool, plus we took advantage of the gym and spa too. Kids adored the buffet breakfast every morning - good mix of options with attentive staff bringing us coffee or any type of eggs we wanted - def a highlight. We booked a family pool villa and it was perfect for our family of 4. A few minor issues with electricity going off in the villa first two days but staff were quick to try and fix that plus an errant rodent - and all was resolved quickly and with a smile, so we happily enjoyed rest of our stay here.…
We payed 2,600 USD for one week in a pool villa in a 5 star deluxe hotel, but the stay was disappointing and not worth the money spent. We received a short staffed and mostly untrained hotel. Service was desasterous. Premises where not up to their capability. Abandoned and rubbled meeting rooms, pools filled with leafs and dirt. While it would be easy to keep these things clean and presentable, hotel management is delusional and excuses the situation with: "We cannot find better staff." and "Prices do compare to the location.". Service is inconsistent, orders mixed up, starters served after one hour waiting. The quality of the restaurant food is however good. Mismanaged, not value for money and when in doubt trying to overcharge the customer. Leaving the feeling of haggling on a bazaar, when prices are fixed in the menus. Overall a strange disappointment.…
We loved out stay at Melati. The resort is set in very nice gardens, and whilst you can't see the beach from any of the rooms, the gardens are well kept and tranquil. The room we had was a courtyard room with pool. The room was very well appointed and very large with a nice courtyard garden and plunge pool. The breakfast was great in the beachfront restaurant. The staff were really helpful.
We spent 9 nights at melati over Christmas with our daughter who is 6. Without any doubt this place has some great highlights - in order: Food is amazing. We were half board and particularly enjoyed the buffet nights and fabulous breakfasts - the chefs here can really cook and portions were always generous. Staff (particularly the pool and waiters) are a real asset to this place. Som and Best always stopped to chat to us and make our daughter feel special - she misses them both. All of the waiters and waitresses are absolutely superb and a credit to the resort. The little restaurant next door and massage place was great too and we spent lots of time there. Facilities were good, although I wouldn’t say they were 5 star. Some easy obvious improvements can be made (fix the broken pool table!) and WiFi really isn’t great in the villas near reception - definitely needs an upgrade it hardly worked. Events and drinks were very over priced for Thailand (Xmas parties etc) which really were just not really worth the price although again the food and fire show was great. Beach is beautiful but it was sad to see it have so much rubbish washed up. We found it hard to communicate with reception staff, their English language wasn’t particularly good. Location is nice and quiet - the site is well looked after but you might need lots of taxis etc to explore the island. It’s a little isolated. Generally this was a great holiday and we’d like to thank Som and Best for making it memorable!…
We had one of their houses (505) with our own pool. Large house, lots of space, great beds, great service, super friendly staff. Beach is fine boy short, maybe 400 meters and when we were there it was only cleaned below Melanie area. There is nothing bad to say, apart from that pasta sauces taste zero 😂, apart from that is food good. We had the luxury of spending our Christmas Eve here and had a great party on the beach. You will find all amenities one need in the room, even flip-flops in two sizes. One for her, one pair for him and a perfect small beach bag for towels and what you need. All in all, would we recommend the place - sure! You will feel greatly relaxed here and happy.
Really good resort, a beautifull surroundings and a very beautiful beach. All the staff behaved in a very professional and friendly way. A really good restaurant and the the best breakfast. Could be one of our best holidays.
Felt that resort being rather isolated, more could have been done to support a more regular shuttle service. Also no cab sharing was allowed which seems ridiculous when only 2 people are in a 11 seater bus going to same place. Can only surmise money is being passed under table. Enjoyed stay with beautiful gardens and pool, Rooms authentic. Staff were attentive but felt it falsely advertised as 5 star resorts.
A lovely boutique hotel. 10mins from fisherman’s village, 20mins from Chawenga and 15mins from the airport. If you want to explore and don’t mind getting a scooter or taxis then this is the place to stay. Remote and romantic but close enough to explore! ❤️ Must visit!
Visiting with a friend of mine, we were welcomed by the general manager himself. Our room was really adapted to our desires, two large beds, perfect for a visit among friends. Nothing to say about the service either, we were perfectly attended to by the staff. The facilities are a big plus, we enjoyed the beautiful pool, a few meters away from the nice white sand beach! The fitness and spa were also a perfect combination. Overall a really pleasant stay, very relaxing and impossible to get bored of !
