This was our second visit and there will be more. Indeed, all driving holidays around France will have to be shoe-horned around starting in the Dordogne, because I cannot imagine wanting to spend the first few days of our holiday anywhere else. Robert is an outstanding host and Le Moulin Neuf is an outstanding chambre d'hote. Stunning grounds, lovely rooms,...

A great location. Robert is a superb host , very knowledgable of the local sites and extremely helpful in planning the day. Julien , the local restaurant at Paunat is a gem. Make sure to ask Robert to book for you in advance!

This chambre d'hote cannot be recommended too highly. It is located in a very pretty part of the Dordogne, with easy access to all the main tourist attractions, bastides, and rivers. The property comprises the magnificent owner's house through which the mill stream runs, and the separate ivy-clad guest house. The gardens are extensive, with a stream and small lake,...

We stayed for two nights in this peaceful and attractive B&B just north of the Dordogne River. The room was beautifully furnished (though a little small - but there is a comfortable sitting room for guests) and the bathroom was sizeable and spotless. The grounds are idyllic - there are several streams and a small lake with hundreds of hungry...

The rooms are tastefully decorated and very comfortable. Breakfast was delicious with all the hot French Press coffee one could ask for. The setting is remarkable with beautifully...

We stayed at Le Moulin Neuf for 4 nights. Robert is a most gracious host with wonderful recommendations for restaurants (make sure you eat at Julien's in Paunat) and places to see. He is an avid gardener and the grounds are simply spectacular. The rooms are small, but beautifully furnished and inviting, with a common room downstairs. Breakfast outside in...

Moulin Neuf is a beautiful old mill house & barn converted to a B&B. The grounds are peaceful, the house is well kept and the location is fantastic. If you have a car, don't stay in the busier city of Sarlat, instead escape here. It is an easy drive to all the sights in the area and so peaceful. Robert...

Guidebooks give a lot of ink to the Sarlat area, but for my money, stay at the Moulin Neuf for the relaxing atmosphere and wonderful peaceful feeling of the country. It's an easy drive to Sarlat, but without the city noises. Robert is an absolutely delightful host and the fact that he speaks English is a big plus if you're...
