The owner has missed the point with this place. It has beautiful tranquil location by a large lake (that's popular with fishermen and people that bring their own boats, windsurfers, and canoes etc.) yet there's hideous slides and bouncy castles everywhere spoiling the tranquillity. The people that use them seem to pay absolutely no attention to the surroundings. We stayed... More

Great family holiday here two weeks ago. Swimming pools and play areas are great. Evening entertainment isn't exactly international but still ok to watch. Pizzas are very nice from the takeaway bar. Beautiful setting on the lake. Watch out for the spikey things that wash up on the edge of the lake, apparently a sign of an unpolluted lake but... More

We camped here for over 2 weeks with friends. We have a large tent and had plenty of room on our pitch. The toilet and washing area is large with plenty of hot water. They do seem to be reducing the casual area in favour of more cabins which is a shame as the location is perfect. A perfect place... More

Touring caravan twin axle barely fitted onsite, this year they have stopped taking anything above 7m I believe which is a shame as I intended to rebook. Great fishing sailing lake, small sandy beach area. Pools are great and felt confident with my 2 kids going for a wonder on their own. Restaurant and entertainment also really good. Highly recommended... More

A friendly site with in a very picturesque setting. My children were rarely bored. Cycles can be hired - though there are not too many routes to choose from. It is possible to cycle to the beach for the day through the forest or by going along the main road. There is a good pizzareria and ice cream bar. Great... More

We stayed here in a caravan for two weeks in June 2010. Unfortunatley the weather the first week was very wet and our pitch soon became waterlogged. No problems with the caravan - clean and functional but the site was in need of some refurbishment. It all looked worn and tired as if it was the end of a season... More

We have just returned from La Paillotte campsite in the Landes, located on lake Soustons. A beautifully laid out site with lots of tropical planting. We stayed in one of their Lake Lodges which was basic inside but had a lovely view. Also the children could play in the lake while we watched from our deck. We stayed for two... More
