Clean rooms, decor a little dated. Amazing view of the Solway Firth.
Best of all take dogs who are made welcome. Large green outside for walks.
Would have liked a blind at bathroom window. Felt a bit on show. Will return.

I've stayed at the Queen's twice recently, experiences which were similar and pleasant. This is a big grand house with plenty of space, not always converted into coherent modern en suite luxury, but comfortable and friendly, with excellent breakfasts.
Low price, comfortable, good value

Where there are more than just a few bikes we do lock them securely in the old beer cellar so don't be put off bringing some friends along.
