Detailed Reviews
The hotel is specially designed for people who enjoy luxury experiences! They are all single villas with privacy. The hotel is not crowded at all, very quiet, and the breakfast is very phenomenal. They also provide free activities such as Muay Thai, floral classes, etc. Free kayaking, sailing can be rented. The beach is great for sunbathing not swimming, the hotel pool on the other hand is prefect for relaxing. Service is good, however not everyone there is friendly. Overall, I really enjoy this hotel, recommended.

First, I don't see where the negative reviews are coming from. This place is a five star resort priced at the lower end of the five star scale. One reviewer complained about the meal prices and said to stay at the Four Seasons (at USD$1000++ per night which is 3x more than this resort). If you bring your fivve person family, you are going to have 5x meals at 5x the price. You should do the math before you book and realize it is a secluded resort.
I found the resort to be just lovely. It has the inly nonrocky beach of all the resorts. The food was excellent as was the service. The spa skillset is amazing. The views are beautiful and the beach is very swimmable. A great places for couples and families. I saw ongoing maintenance and the property appeared very well kept. The bed was amazingly comfortable as well. I hope to revisit again soon, Belmond Napasai. Until the I have many wonderful photos and memories.

We stayed 3 nights at the hotel which just reopened its first week after the COVID-19 lockdown. The hotel was virtually empty. There were about 5-6 rooms occupied. Upon our arrival we were greeted with not only delicious coconut ice cream but also very enthusiastic staff. We got upgraded from sea view room to ocean front room.
Our room was right at the beach with spectacular view of the beach plus Koh Phangan and Ang Thong Marine national park from a distance. The room was equipped with amenities usual for 5 star resort. We particularly liked the fact that we could see the view from our shower! The bed was great.
As for resort facilities, the infinity swimming pool was both large and nicely located at the beach.
The breakfast was excellent. The hotel didn’t offer usual buffet due to the health concern but still offered excellent choice of several a la carte main dishes, drinks and sweets.
Overall it was a great relaxing vacation, one of our best for a Thai resort. We highly recommended the hotel for its beautiful setting and attentive staff plus a great deal during its reopening.

My husband and I loved our stay at this wonderful resort. We stayed in an oceanfront villa which gave us an uninterrupted view of the water with total privacy and quiet. The staff are very kind and attentive, nothing is too much trouble. Within minutes of phoning reception, a buggy would arrive to transport us to anywhere we requested on the resort! When I carelessly sunburnt myself, a lovely lady on reception, Chloé, arranged for fresh Aloe Vera to be delivered to our room which helped no end! The breakfast was delicious each morning with a lovely choice of fresh fruit, smoothies, juices, pastries, freshly prepared eggs etc. Probably the highlight of our stay were the two boat trips that we took. We loved both the snorkelling trip and the sunset cruise. We were superbly looked after by Haa, Pompui and Poo. We would totally recommend these trips if you like to be out on the water.
Thank you to the staff at Belmond Napasai for making our stay truly enjoyable and memorable!

One of the most relaxing breaks that we have taken as a family.
We stayed in room 203 a one-bedroom garden villa that had 2 single beds on a raised dais in the living room which made it a comfortable stay for my wife and me along with our teenage son.
The amenities were excellent. Large comfortable bed, 2 powerful showers, and a large bath. Television in each room.
The villa was close to the beach fronted by a private garden with an outdoor lounger.
It was within easy walking distance of the excellent pool, spa, gym and breakfast
The service was excellent.
All the staff was extremely polite and helpful.
There were 2 cleanings each day, one morning & one evening.
The sports manager Panumad Theepthong (Nook) was exceptionally attentive and provided us with enjoyable activities such as a catamaran ride and a group tennis lesson. His English was very impressive and he was a great source of information.
The front desk manager was very caring and she even arranged for a free car wash on the day we left.
My only grumble would be the price of the food and drink in the room fridge. I have, however, stayed in enough hotels to have been more aware of this.
I also cannot comment on the location as we hardly ever left the hotel. We felt no need.

We had a frustrating start to our trip, as a delayed flight / missed connection caused us to arrive a day late. However, all frustrations were soon forgotten upon arrival at the Napasai, due to the brilliance of this idyllic hotel and its staff. Our sea view villa was perfect, and contained a personalised welcome message (reflecting that this trip was for a special occasion). All staff, from the groundworkers to the general manager, went out of their way to ensure our stay was as memorable as possible. The facilities we used were top rate - in particular the pool area, the gym and the watersports equipment (paddle boarding). The inclusive breakfast is excellent with virtually every international breakfast cuisine available to choose from. Suffice to say, we absolutely loved our stay here, and (reluctantly) went home freely completely relaxed and rested. It should be noted that we booked this trip well in advance, and there was an offer on the room price which were felt gave great value for money.

If you are looking for a delightful, relaxing, exclusive, personal, human-scale, well kept resort on Samui with wonderful staff and facilities, candles every evening, great restaurants, fantastic spa services, free bicycle use, water-sports, at a relaxing sandy private beach this is the place to come. The waterfront villa was so nice, wood floors, real 'escape' feel to the villa and the entire resort. We loved everything about our stay here. We will avoid the chain resorts on Samui in future - this place really knows how to delight their guests. It's a reasonably priced 5* resort but is much better than the sprawling newer resorts on the island in every way.

If you're looking for a lovely couples or family island location - stop your search here!
My wife and I had the immense pleasure of staying at this beautiful and surprisingly quiet resort. From the moment we were met at the airport by our driver and his spacious and relaxing vehicle (definitely book their transport!), we knew we were in for a treat.
With its own private beach, numerous water activities and island/local themed classes there’s something for all. The focal point of the property however is the extraordinary infinity pool at the centre of the resort. Pure bliss!
We savoured a Thai cooking class, (survived) a Muay Thai kickboxing introduction and repeatedly indulged in the tranquil Spa.
With a number of dining options available we split our time between dining on the pristine white sands and their main restaurant. A tasty mix of local and western menu was provided. We also enjoyed their exquisite beach BBQ a couple of evenings. Breakfast was just as inviting and offered a filling and healthy start to everyday. If there’s an option, definitely include the breakfast. You won’t be disappointed.
Our Villa had glorious sea views and had exceptional AC. We’ll appointed, it was a lovely haven to return to at the end of the day.
Whilst all of the facilities are very good, it’s honestly the genuine warmth and welcome extended by all of the staff that made the stay for us. Everyone remembered our names and also our favourite things, after only a couple of days! They all work so hard to look after everyone and ensure your visit is as relaxing as possible.
I know I will sadly miss out so many folks but we were warmly greeted and assisted daily in Reception by Algen, Alla and Ae.
Ameur and his team in F&B team took special care of us from Aon, Tangkwa and Jaae in the restaurant to Boss and Haa at the beach and Naing always knew our favourite ‘holiday feel’ cocktails! Haa even put us through our paces in the kickboxing! Don’t mess with him!
Chef Rong patiently helped us whip up some super tasty dishes in our cooking class and everyone in housekeeping ensured our room was pristine! Everyday!
In the Spa we were treated like royalty by Pam and her team. She runs a warming and welcoming space. Initially, we only booked once but ended up going back two more times after Fern and then Paim took such great care of us both. So relaxing and really helped put us in that holiday mood!
We are extremely sad to have left but absolutely know it will not be our last visit and look forward to our return to paradise and the welcome ‘home’.

My experience here was so wonderful! The entire staff is so accommodating and helpful. Ae (I believe that's how to spell her name) is the day shift manager at the front desk and I found her to be extremely thoughtful. She really went above and beyond to make sure all of my excursions went smoothly and she also made sure I had everything I needed throughout my entire stay. Everything here was fantastic - the food, the staff, the service, the Thai massage, and the sunset. :) I highly recommend this establishment!

Unfortunately, just a really, really disappointing experience. Beyond the inconsistent and inattentive service, the room product itself was actually disgusting. I took pictures of the stains on the walls, the bed was hard as rock and that’s before even getting to the fact of how dated it all was. The air con system was about as loud as they come and the bathroom had very minimal amenities. This was all made worse with the lack of service across the front desk, wait staff, housekeeping and the rest. Really not anywhere near a previous Belmond experience. Koh Samui has wonderful options (the newer Four Seasons there is incredible) - so pick somewhere else if you’re looking for a true 5 star experience - this is NOT it.

Dear a7c2020, Thank you for taking the time to review your stay at Belmond Napasai. I am very sorry to hear that your experience was not at the level of your expectations. Our team is known to be very attentive, details oriented as well as reactive, therefor I am very suprised to read your feedback as you left us with the impression that everything went very well. Upon check-in we have offered you to see another room, the offer was declined. Furhtermore nothing has been mentionned to the team, we would have been happy to put a mattress toper to make the bed softer or to send an engineer to the room to check on the aircon... Once again and on the behalf of the whole team, I send you our deepest apologies. Kind regards, Chloe Jacot-Descombes Guest relations manager

Rooms are not outdated. They are very spacious and well laid out. Perhaps people are referring to the bath and shower as they are one whereas more modern builds they are separate, this is the only thing I can think of. The beach is totally private and secluded. It is a wide beach but shallow for a fair way out. There is sharp coral but not everywhere. All depends what you are after.
Gym is well equipped but not very big
Belmond do provide trainer as well
I guess it depends on how big the inflatable is but I have seen people with various kinds of inflatable devices in the swimming pool.
