The staff made the location sparkle. Very attentive and welcoming. Everyone always says hello and asked us about our day. The receptionist walked out to our car to thank us for staying with them and see us off. The rooms were very clean and we were provided with electrical adaptor. Will definitely stay again thank you
A block from the beach and stores, the hotel offers simple accommodations at a very reasonable price (compared with other lodging options in the area). The room we had could use some preventive maintenance (painting, couch cushion replacement). Also, when we entered the room we found the refrigerator unplugged (it took nearly a day to get to temperature). The pool is very nice, but shares the pool deck area with the onsite restaurant.
Lovely, simple hotel.Great comfortable, clean rooms with aircon at very affordable prices.Easy walk to 2 superb beaches. But probably the best feature is the wonderful staff.Friendly, helpful and cheerful. We had to book sonewhere quickly after a mishap with our original accommodation, the hotel even gave us a very early check in.We were so delighted with the hotel, that we extended our stay.
Excellent service. Professional, well-trained staff. Warm, accommodating atmosphere. The combination of service, professionalism efficiency and safety makes Siesta Hotel one of the best places to stay in the Caribbean!! Highly recommended.
My husband and I came up to Grenada for my grandpa's funeral and stayed here for 4 nights. We were drawn to this place by the low price ($111/night) compared to all of the other hotels in the Grande Anse area, as well as it's proximity to Grande Anse Beach, Spiceland mall, and many bars and restaurants. It was our first time staying here but we will definitely be here again. As you know, traveling in these COVID times is so uncertain with flights getting cancelled and connections being missed all the time, so I literally waited till we were on physical plane to Grenada, taxiing down the runway, to book our reservation. Of course I messed it up and accidentally booked a room with two twins instead of a king, but Siesta Hotel was not fazed. We arrived exhausted from our journey and Dionne (sorry if I misspelled your name!), the amazing woman who mans the front desk much of the time, made us feel so welcome. She quickly switched us to a room with a King sized bed, escorted us to the room and meticulously inspected it to make sure everything was ready despite the last minute switch (she somehow discovered that the remote for the AC had dead batteries and immediately changed it), and then called us a bit later to make sure we had settled in okay. Throughout our stay Dionne and the other front desk staff, the housekeepers, security guards, the gardeners, and the hotel restaurant staff were all so friendly to us. Every staff member would stop and say hi to us and despite the masks (they were really great about wearing masks and social distancing), you could tell that they were smiling. On the day we left all the staff came out to wave us goodbye like we were celebrities. I've never encountered a nicer staff, and just as a human being it felt so wonderful to be greeted so warmly and kindly every day. The hotel room was simple and older but immaculately clean. All the buildings were sparking white and surrounded by beautiful gardens and flowers which gave the air a beautiful perfumed smell. The AC worked well, the window screens were in good shape and we didn't get a single mosquito bite while staying there. The view was amazing!!! We were on the top floor with a balcony and we had an 180 degree view of the ocean, and a lovely view of Siesta's beautiful gardens. We were able to borrow beach towels from the front desk. We never used the pool but it looked amazing and was lit up beautifully in the evenings. There was on site parking for our rental car. Dionne arranged a rental car ($50 US/day) and airport taxi (40 EC for 2 people) for us at very reasonable prices. If we wanted for anything, we would just call the front desk and it was be taken care of in under 5 minutes. The hotel is convenient to everything in Grande Anse. The police station is a 2 min walk away for when you need to get your temp driver's license if you rent a car. The walk to the beach is a very easy 5-10 min. Spiceland mall sits right in front of the beach and we would stop at the IGA grocery store for beach snacks and drinks everyday. The mall also has a coffee shop, an ice cream shop, a food court, and a bank with a 24- hour ATM. Around the mall and on the beach itself are a ton of restaurants. Carib Sushi was one of our favorites. Our most favorite part about Siesta Hotel was the restaurant and room service. Since I'm pregnant we were trying to be really careful about social distancing and being around crowds, we decided to order room service for breakfast the first day--we ordered a ton of food and coffee and it was outstanding! We ended up ordering a huge breakfast there every morning of our stay and eating it out on the balcony with that beautiful view every day, feeling like kings. They have both local and traditional western options, and they're open for lunch as well. Now, I grew up eating saltfish and bakes, but their's was the best I've ever had (don't tell my mother). The bakes were just these huge chunks of deep fried yeasted dough, and the saltfish was delicious--I ordered it every day. My husband was in love with their bread pudding and the banana/Nutella crepes and ordered them on multiple occasions. Everything came up nice and hot and there wasn't a single thing we ordered that we didn't like. And after 4 mornings of absolute gluttony and brunching as only us millennials can, the bill came up to only $102 US. High praise to Siesta Hotel and the excellent staff--we hope to see you soon!…
