We just returned from our second stay at the Lone Star and it was just as perfect as we remembered. It setting is idyllic and the service is some of the best I've gotten on a Caribbean Island. The hotel restaurant is large but there are very few rooms so there is always someone to help you right away with...

Always loved the Lonestar but over the last few years it had failed to live up to its reputation as one of the best restaurants on the West Coast. As much as we all loved the place we became frustrated at the problems in recent visits. But tonight was just perfect....faultless! Ambiance was fantastic in both bar and restaurant and...

We were saying on the sandy lane estate but decided to take a trip out for breakfast one morning and stumbled on the Loan Star The restaurant is right on the beach and we were shown to a table on the terrace that is literally on the beach and yards from the ocean Unfortunately we were bothered by a few...

After I spent three days here with family & friends, I came home and spent a week researching all the Caribbean Islands for a place like this to relax and trust me, you won't find anything even close. Why is this place so special? Small hotel with 6+ rooms. You get your personal butler, room bar is very generously loaded...

We stayed in the Cadillac Room for 11 nights, last week in October and first week in November. The room is absolutely spectacular.Whilst the other rooms are nice this is the room that makes the Lone Star extra special. All the staff without exception are lovely, nothing is too much trouble, they are friendly and attentive without making you feel...

We had a 5 day stay here at the beginning of August and it was wonderful. The pictures don't quite do it justice when you are there. We stayed in the Studebaker, which was facing the beach and a stones throw from the restaurant where we had our inclusive breakfast every morning. A good choice and very sizeable portons. Very...

Once again we used our Travel Agent, Angelfish Travel, and they did not disappoint. We had visited Lonestar before for dinner so knew all about the excellent service, food and location but this time we chose to stay in one of their seven rooms for five nights. Everything was five star and special mention to Dondru, Beverley and Kristan. The...

The Lone Star is a restaurant with rooms but a very special place. There are only a few rooms but it make for a perfect boutique style hotel which sits right on the beach in a lovely West coast location. We stayed for 3 nights in Shelby - one of 3 rooms which make up the Beach House - an...

It's rare that I take the time to give a hotel or property a review. But there is something magical about this place. I had taken a last minute trip for some alone time to Barbados and from the moment I arrived at the hotel I was given so much nurturing and care. Yes, I just wrote nurturing and care....

This is a restaurant with rooms. No pools no pets no gym etc. The rooms are beautifully designed with high quality furnishings. The terraces are fabulous. The staff really make you feel at home. Everyone knows who you are and treats you accordingly. Breakfast was included and was worth getting up for. Very generous offering and an exceptional view. The...
