If you are thinking of staying here overnight...think twice!! The rooms (depending upon what you get are old, musty, in need of repair or as some other travelers have remarked just not adequate for the price you pay to stay in a castle hotel. We stayed here for a company meeting recently and while the food and the wait staff...

If you've always wanted to stay in a castle instead of an hotel, this is a nice place especially if you love history. I don't recommend it for children since there is really nothing at the Castle to keep them busy. Most of the castle is not open to the public only the floors with guest rooms. You do have...

My wife and I were guests, staying for one night, at the Schloß Weitenburg on August 29, 2016, along with another couple with whom we were traveling, in transit from southern France to northern Germany. We called ahead for reservations earlier in the day, on the road, and were quoted the rack (highest) rate, with which we did not argue,...

We chose a "tower room" via email at an upgraded charge and I expected a very large upper floor room with castle traditional furnishings. I asked if they had a photo of the room and they said they did not. Very disappointing with none of the fantastic view available. I will say the young woman at the desk was helpful...

We chose Schloss Weitenburg as a base for our short 4-day trip to Stuttgart. Although it is located about 55 km from Stuttgart it’s definitely worth the ride. Looking over the Neckar valley and small town of Börstingen, furnished in a hunting home style Schloss Weitenburg is absolutely charming. Very friendly staff. We had a clean spacious room with excellent...

This was a Christmas Dinner for an American company. We scheduled a sit down dinner with buffet serving for 40 people. Delicious Schwaben foods, large selection of main courses and sides. The staff took great care of us both at the dinner the night before and at breakfast. The room where we held our dinner was spacious yet warm and...

Yes, we would definitely come here again. This was our second time in a castle. (The first time was marred by the HEAT being out on a frigid day.) Yes, it wasn't perfect but any minor problems are overlooked for the sheer beauty of the view and the unique surroundings - a step back in time. Dinner was delicious and,...

We were visiting from Canada and our cousin took us to this castle! It was a fantastic visit to see this castle. The meal and service we had in the restaurant was incredible. We loved the food and were so impressed with the taste. I would love the recipes for the soups they were delicious. Thank you our experience will...

The hotel was nice, we arrived later in the night and left early in the morning. The room was nice and breakfeast was also good. We have forgotten a eye mask at the room and they send us back in our address. We recomend for people who are the region. They have a nice golf area as well.

We stayed two nights here on our trip through Germany. The location is on the edge of the Black Forest near a quiet town (Starzach). The drive up from the autobahn is little rough and there is not much nightlife in town. But if you want peace and quiet, great views and an experience to remember this is it. The...
