We spent 2 weeks at Hotel Benois. Very relaxing. Good facilities, handy for the beach and for getting around the island. Lots of options for dining, and the hotel food is good too. The main plus was the staff. They went out of their way to make our stay a success. Highly recommended.
We have stayed in a lot of hotels in the Cyclades over the past number of years and this has to be one of the best. The ideal island hotel for me has a pool, good food in a nice setting and is beside the beach. Benois ticks all these boxes. The food is very good particularly the breakfast. Great cocktails. The staff are very helpful and low key. There are plenty of loungers at the good sized pool. It is spotless and if you feel like it the excellent beach is accross the street. Rooms are a good size and the air con works well. No sign of mosquitos! Finally as its on the West of the island the sunsets are spectacular
This was an amazing island experience in Greece. It was our first island after Athens and I cannot express how peaceful and restorative it was. The hotel was so welcoming from the very start with wonderful staff and location. The pool was clean with plenty of chairs and umbrellas for the hot sun. If you decided you would rather go to to the beach, it was right across the street. The rooms were nice, not fancy but all you need for a great stay. Everything was very clean and a first class experience. One of the best things was it was located on the more relaxed side of the island with walking distance from some of the best meals we had over 12 days in Greece. We could not suggest a better place to stay in Greece than the Hotel Benois
Location: Just across the road (not busy) from the (good) beach, which has numerous umbrellas. Staff: Unfailingly pleasant and helpful. Room: We had a family room - two rooms lined by an open arch. One had 2 singles pushed together and the other had sofa bed - it also had the kitchenette and the bathroom. Both rooms comfortable and together were big enough for our 2-week stay. They had a common balcony which faced the swimming pool. The bathroom was big enough for our needs. The room had everything we needed. The pool: Lovely. Deep (>2m) at one end and shallow at the other, with an 'attached' padding pool. While we were there the pool was never crowded and there ware always spare sunbeams around it - but not the date! Covid... We also enjoyed trying out the outdoor gym! The food: Breakfast was excellent -'English' options as well as the usual continental/Greek specialities. Served under Covid restrictions on serving. Worth mentioning that the cook baked cakes/tarts for breakfast every day. V. Tasty! For the rest of the day, the hotel served all the usual drinks -including pool-side delivery - and a small but very tasty selection of snacks and meals. We 'ate in' a couple of nights - pasta, burger, pizza - and had bruschetta and other snack some days. Summary - a really relied, pleasant experience for a 2-week stay during 'Covid time', with everything we needed at hand. Everything cleaned/sterilised in line with government requirements. We will return. …
Beautiful family run boutique hotel in the small town of Galissas. Lovely decor, spotlessly clean. The staff are very friendly, couldn’t do enough to make your stay as enjoyable as possible. Fabulous breakfast with a good selection of fresh local produce and great homemade cakes. The hotel is 2 minute walk to the best beach on the island.
