Not a single complaint! The trip was out of this world. The hillside villas had absolutely stunning views and the service was impeccable and so friendly! Loved the food and drinks as well. We are already planning to come back soon :)

My husband and I have come to Hermitage Bay four times and will return many, many more! It is truly our home away from home, and all staff welcome you with excitement! Each person is treated as a very special guest! The grounds and villas are amazing, and the staff even more so!! We think the food is exquisite and love the cooking of Chef Desroy and Sous Chef Suga! We are actually booking our next trip as I write this!!! Can’t wait to return ‘home’! I only wish we could be ‘snow birds’ here!

My wife and I went for my honeymoon and this place was a dream!!! The food was delicious, the space was beautiful, and the staff could not have been more accommodating. The intimate size of the resort means that within hours the staff already knows your name and your drink order! We just got back from our trip and already trying to figure out when we can return.

We have been fortunate to travel giant places. This was by far the best. The food is over the top. Chef James is a special person who goes out of his way to make the food over the top. Jillian, Stoney, Jesse James were just a few who made our experience even better. If you are looking for an upscale resort where you just relax this is it. Thank you Hermitage Bay we can’t way to come back. Jason and Samantha

We spent 5 night at Hermitage for our honeymoon. 3 nights on a beachfront villa and 2 nights in a hillside villa. Originally, we wanted all 5 nights to be in the Hillside but we booked a little too late. However, I am actually very glad we got to experience both. It was great to get our “beach fix” the first 3 days and then we were able to enjoy the secluded private pool the rest of the week. Both types of rooms are great. The beachfront is obviously a little more convenient being so close to the restaurant, bar, and beach. But the hillside is one of those unique stays that you just can’t find at most resorts. So I strongly recommend both. If I could only pick one, I’d go hillside the whole week and just know you will need to be golf carted to the restaurant and beach. Hermitage has all of the beauty of a Caribbean beach surrounded by green mountains, but the people are what make Hermitage one of my favorite spots that I’ve traveled to. All employees are happy 24/7 and act as if their sole purpose in life is for you to have an enjoyable stay. From the second you arrive they are bringing you drinks and food. When it came time to leave we knew we would miss the scenery but we felt like we were saying goodbye to friends, too. Be on the lookout for Jesse, Patricia, Simone, Galloway, Loretta, Jamaal, and Kajar (house keeping). They all made our special trip all the more special. We came from Keyonna Beach the night before we got to Hermitage. They have happy and kind employees but Hermitage truly takes it to the next level. If you can’t relax here, it is certainly no fault of the resort!! The dinners are 4 courses every single night, with GREAT options each night. Over the course of my week I ate Ribeye Steak, Tuna, Mahi, Scallops, and Duck. All portions are large and if you are still hungry they will bring you more food without thinking twice. We tried a third entree several times as well. The drinks are excellent and the wait times were quick. All special requests were met and met with a smile. Could not recommend Hermitage more to honeymooners or people just looking for a relaxing week. I went fly fishing on the other side of the country and Hermitage packed me a cooler of beer, sandwiches, and even coordinated my transportation. I did not have to lift a finger. Trying to find a con is difficult. I would say the only con is there was not much of a beach sunset. However, this is due to the beautiful mountains you get to look at the entire day, so I see it as a trade off. We stayed at the very top villa and were able to see sunset while we stayed there. I don’t think there is anything Hermitage could do about this, but Mosquitoes are definitely bad. They have mosquito spray in every room and have spray at the restaurant and bar if needed. Just be aware you need to wear some while in Antigua. The spray works like a charm as soon as it’s applied. So no big deal. Could not recommend Hermitage more!
