The summer caretaker was a charming woman from Germany who made a very nice (by Icelandic standards) breakfast for us. Two fairly roomy shared bathrooms, each with a shower, full toilet, etc. The room itself was nice, although for whatever reason the windows wouldn't open....More
Very clean and comfortable. The hostess Eva was super nice! Good breakfast. Awesome 9km hike to the glacier starts from here, which is convenient. Small place so it will never be too crowded. Would be happy to stay again.
Very clean rooms and public areas, comfortable stay. Had some hesitation for shared bathroom, but they are very new and clean, so no problems at all. The lady running the place does her best to help. However it is quite expensive for shared bathroom rooms.
Very nice welcoming, very clean rooms and bathrooms (common bathrooms with hair dryer and large shower). Very nice breakfast, with several homemade products (Included Eagles). Real guesthouse, English and German spoken by the hostess. Functional comfort; very good value for money.
Close to Jokusarlon.
This is great little place to stay if you are exploring along the south and eastern parts of Iceland.
We stayed here for 3 nights and was an ideal place to stay to explore Jokulsalon and then into the eastern fjords.
