The Naturalist's location is amazing, right on the beech and our room was around 50 yards for d' almond tree restaurant as well. Self service breakfast is basic but with so many places to get a good breakfast in the village that's no problem. The rooms, at least in our experience are a good size and the kitchenette is well... Thia resort is literally on the sandy beach of Castara.Lots of nice scenery, calm waters, friendly peoples and lots of peace and quiet. The drive to the resort was about 40 mins from Scarborough, through the hills and valleys and winding road ways with lots of forested areas. The area is secluded and the hustle and bustle of city life doesn't exist here.... More

We stayed for a week at the beginning of July and absolutely loved it! I highly recommend staying in Castara if you are visiting Tobago. It is breathtakingly beautiful and the community is so friendly and welcoming; everyone stops to say hello as you wander around. I have to say if we go back (which we'd love to!) we would... More

We had an absolutely wonderful stay for 4 nights at the Naturalist, in one of the two bedroom apartments. Up a beautiful winding road into the hills of "countryside" Tobago is the Naturalist, on a beautiful beach enjoyed by local fisherfolk and fellow guests. Quiet but not remote, absolutely beautiful beach. Delicious breakfast, extremely clean rooms with AC and comfortable... More

My significant other and I went for the annual spearfishing competition. Our room, Tuna was well furnished and clean. Very cozy and comfy. I like that the place was just a stone's throw from the serene Castara bay. Breakfast was delicious, and Ancle is great company. I would definitely recommend this place, and I'd definitely like to revisit!

What fantastic service from Ancle, Tracey and the team, I take my holidays very seriously and prior to booking I emailed Ancle numerous questions relating to the property and what I could expect, all questions were answered promptly with all the information I requested. Tracey was on hand for our arrival and showed us to our apartment giving us lots... More

This was our 5th. time at the Naturalist. Ancle George, the owner, is continually providing amenities that improve the guest's stay. As usual, each unit is kept very clean (no bugs!) -- no mold! His complimentary breakfast is the only one in the area. The unit that we have (Grouper) now has a new sea-view deck with a larger roof,... More
