Old fashioned Hotel but all the staff is nice and we see after 4 nights that they work hard and long hours, the restaurant is good and great value for money, swimming pool tends to be crowded but in the evening we never had any problem accessing, the only thing is when we went to the reception to kindly ask for a later check out, the lady, who we never saw at that time, strictly said no after barely looking at her screen, pretty much as if before even knowing which room we were she decided to say no, and when you see that 3/4 of the room keys are available right next to her, you come to wonder why there is absolutely no flexibility... she was not even nice about it! I have worked as a receptionist for 10 years now, and I can say that a little flexibility goes a long way, or even a smile and politeness. That leaves us on such a bad note when the rest of the trip was actually good. Urk.

We stayed just one night. Hotel is simple and clean. It is in quite region in Toscana, near Terme. In front is one nice small lake. It is good for one or two nights. Breakfast is simple, too. Clean rooms, wi fi, good bathroom.

This is a great place for a family that likes the outdoors and is trying to explore Tuscany at a very good price. The rooms aren't huge but they are clean and comfortable. The style is modern but probably built in the 70's. The staff are super nice, professional and very helpful. They really go out of their way to make sure you are comfortable and get everything you need. The restaurant is convenient. Breakfast is typical Italian hotel but real coffee and juice not the machine. Pool is clean and very pretty. The setting is on a lake as the name indicates and it is on the side of a hill looking up to the towers of Serravalle, beautiful lush area with a cool breeze at night. Bed was typical for Italy and the same with the bathroom, nothing special about the room but wood fixtures were nice and it was quiet. I had friends that stayed here years ago and I met them for dinner. I am glad I remembered it. The price is great for the amenities, location and service. It is in the countryside but right off the highway and it is easy to access Florence or Montecatini. I am not sure I would recommend for a luxury or romantic getaway, more family, practical place to stay.

A very simple but good hotel. Silent and the outside of city. If you are looking for a peaceful stay and enjoy the stay , this can be your choice. Outside the hotel is a fountain and a small lake which adds a good view for this hotel. Food options at time can be very limited as not sure how many travelers are there all the time.

Stayed here as part of the star tours Italy tour..Not a good choice by star tours. It's old, not well maintained. The family rooms are okay, but not the other rooms which are too small and congested. Sheets and towels were neat. There are warnings in the room that they aren't responsible if things are lost and there is no safe. The balconies attached to some rooms are not cleaned at all. Only consolation is the lake, and option of dining in a pizza place closeby which offers great pizza at affordable rates. One may go up hill to see the ruins of old church, the bell tower is not always opened. Will not stay here again.

A nice cul-de-sac hotel by the lake. The path around the small pool is not maintained well enough. The intent may be was to allow people to go around the lake of they choose to. This walk is not in the best of conditions. As far as the rooms go, good linen, clean towels and clean bath and rooms. So no complains there. We paid for the visit via an agent and this visit is part of a larger tour. We don't know the exact amount charged, hence cannot comment on money to value ratio.

We went with star tours and this hotel was the worst in our whole trip. Rooms looked outdated, carpet filthy. The room was so poorly lighted that we could not read or write anything. Shower enclosure was too small to fit normal people. Lift can hold 3 persons maximum and also you do not get a smart key for your room. In these modern days they provide old fashioned key. our room was overlooking a small pond which I think is the only good thing about this hotel. If you have option avoid this hotel at any cost.

OK, this was the worst hotel I have stayed in my last 17 years! The hotel is crumbling! The fixtures are from the 50s and 60s. This would be OK if the hotel was clean atleast. The hotel is filthy. The first room we checked in looked old. But we were OK. When we went to the toilet we found out th bowl had not been flushed and had been liked this with dried s*** for atleast a few days. Grossed out we went out immediately and requested a new room! That room had not been used in weeks and there was a fine layer of dust everywhere. The comforter had not been washed in months and was stinking. We used our clothes as blankets and it was a cold night in June. The shower area water did not drain, god knows what was clogging it! We checked in at 10 PM and checked out at 5.00. The icing was the fact that we saw a rat run in the lobby!! We could not wait to get out! Avoid this hotel at all costs!!

The rooms are too small to get in. Lousy smelling and inappropriate lighting, least space, smallest bathrooms. Won't recommend and advice Star Tours to change this hotel from its Europe tour itinerary.

The hotel is old with outdated facilities though bathroom is pretty good. Room is ill lit, outer window seemed to be opened after many days by us and the room was smelling as if not been opened for long. In general clean room but had a smell all along. Stayed for a night there on star tours program. Breakfast served was ok. Hotel has a beautiful pond and the pool was closed .
