I played my stay in the Yasawas by ear, and though I didn't run into anyone who could really give me any information on Otto and Fanny's, I decided to book anyway. ALWAYS GO WITH YOUR GUT! Otto and Fanny's was the most authentic place I stayed. Harry, the guy who runs the show, is an amazing host. He was...

Otto and Fanny's Resort - Tavewa Island, north-east of the mainland of Viti Levu in the magnificent Yasawa group of islands - It's at the mouth of the famous 'Blue Lagoon' - opposite one of the most expensive resorts - 'Turtle Island' whose twinkling lights you can see at night in the distance - Tavewa is where you'll experience really...

We just loved Otto and Fanny's Place. A real Fijian stay that we'll remember for a long time, for the very best reasons. Locally owned and run, there are four bures amongst the coconut palms, and one dorm. We stayed in the deluxe garden bungalow, which we would recommend. Spacious clean main room with a fan - no air con...

Stayed in a Bure whcih was lovely and often ended up with the dog accompanying us on our walks showing off her fishing...

We stayed there as a family recently and it was great. There are flashier resorts all thru the yasawas but if you want an authentic experience with intimate contact with local residents then this is the place for you. The delicious food is home cooked by the lovely owner and you feel as if you have the island to yourself....

My wife and I spent 6 nights here in August 2013. What a great get-away. This is a family run resort that offers the minimalistic stay. There is no tv no radios no alarm clocks even the showers are not heated spring water showers. The only night life is visiting with other (very few guests and the stars at night....

A great place to relax and share travel stories with a (small) group of fellow travellers. Bures are comfortable with adequate bathroom facilities. Very private with verandah and chairs with hammocks close by. With a small number of guests and shared table for dining, this is an initimate 'resort'. I think you need to be prepared to socialise at meal...

While this backpacker doesnt have a lot of facilities to its name, it does have the untouched beauty that Fiji is so well known for! I stayed here with my friend and we couldnt have asked for a better place. We had a flushing toilet in our "traditional bure". The floor was lined with old school blue lino, colourful curtains...

This is a quiet place with great food. In fact the food is probably the reason to visit. I stayed in the traditional bure which was spacious and nicely furnished but got to feel a little damp as it rained while I was there. The garden bures had a covered outdoor area with seating which would have been good in...
