The website and description of this place sounded so good, and I really wanted it to be. But as soon as we pulled up on the boat, I could feel it. This was supposedly a "three coconut" resort (the highest rating giving by the Awesome...More
Our second visit to Botaira and still loved it... the staff, the location and food are all excellent. We took our 2 children back after being married there almost 10 years ago. Our little one (not quite 2) found the heat a bit hard to...More

Yiu will nedd to catch the Yasawa Flyer it leaves Port Denarau at 8.30am so you need to be checked in bt no later than 8am. You will have to stay overnight in Nadi. There are people at the airport who can help you wlth this. Just make sure you are up early enought to get to the marina, allow st least 1/2hour to get there. Raffles hotel across from the airport might be good. The lnly other wst go get there is by seaplane but hou have probably left it too latr to do this. You will pay in Fiji dollars. You will get a great exchange rate with US dollars. Probably around F $ 300 return. Per person . Get an early wake up all and arrange transport the night before if you can.

As previous people have mentioned there are no hard paths. The ocean front bures access both the beach and dining area via a sandy path but you can walk behind the ocean front bures (in front of garden bures) along flat grassed ground to the dining area and reception.
The snorkeling right at front of resort is great in my opinion. At low tide you must access the water via a concrete path made with squares of concrete laid out to past the coral. These concrete squares are VERY slippery! The coral at the resort is not iridescent in colour but lots of fish life! We saw brain coral, clams (bright blue and green inside) and lots of colourful fish. Even snorkelled through a group of squid one day!
We took the boat trip to a nearby channel to snorkel with the Manta Rays and that was magical!
