I first stayed here 13 years ago with my wife. It is still as good and a great place to stay. The owners are extremely friendly and have been running this place for a long time. It's location is superb, its elevation means it enjoys a slightly cooler situation. There are brilliant views over the Port of Spain, especially at...

Pax (Latin for PEACE) is in an idyllic setting, with stunning views of birds and the mountain! The kitchen and housekeeping staff, as well as Mr. Ramsewak, are very pleasant and friendly. However, Oda, the general manager, needs to attend HOSPITALITY school! She needs to learn NOT to argue or be confrontational with guests, as we pay a lot of...

Dear Mrs. Lee, Thank you very much for letting me know that you was not very happy with my performance. It is always good to hear this so that one can work on it to change it. I really sincerely apologize for the fact that you perceive me as unhospitable. I did not realize that you found it so horrible...

I visited today with my family and friends to celebrate my mom's birthday. It was such a delight. Oda (of Pax Guesthouse) was so friendly and kind to us that we felt right at home. Will definitely be back again soon!

Nice guest house for a restful stay. Good hospitality, with wonderful views from the veranda. The breakfast was very good and the pickup from the airport was on time and an interesting ride to the top of the mountain where Pax is located, Great view over the valley.

With 18 rooms, elegant parlor and tranquil veranda, they have everything for you to enter into a restful stay. Enjoy the dinner buffet and hospitality of the staff, while...

My view of this place is that they really are not interested in guest/client satisfaction (if they recognize that concept) or business more generally? First, I saw that they were available and could be booked on sites such as Expedia.com etc. for the very same day. However, as I went to the property they were adamant that they needed more...

The guest house was originally built in the early 1900's for guests visiting the St. Benedictine Monastery further up the mountain. It still has the extra high ceilings and wooden floors of the era. No a/c, but there are ceiling fans, windows that open wide, and mosquito nets. Toilets and showers are down the hall. There is a sink in...

I stayed at Pax Guest House one year intending to stay for a few days, I not only extended the stay, but returned several times a year. A great location, to reconnect, with fantastic and personalised customer service, Pax is a great base from which to experience the culture and people of Trinbago. If you enjoy a balance of the...

I stayed at Pax more than a decade ago, before anything like Tripadvisor existed (I heard about it from a local paper in Cleveland, surprisingly), and I still remember how wonderful it was. The location is beautiful, with lovely views, and Gerard and Oda are some of the best hosts you could ever find. I was in town for research...
