MASSERIA LA RASCINA Until recently, the region of Puglia in the heel of Italy, was one of the best kept secrets in tourism. In the early 2000’s intrepid travelers, many of them British, mostly fully dressed, ventured to this rich and varied province, attracted by the low prices, but enchanted as well by its astonishing beaches, rugged coastlines, medieaval hilltop...

A stunning masseria set amongst the olive groves between Ostuni and the sea. The generous hosts Paolo and Leonie have created this peaceful and relaxing setting, and they are always on hand with recommendations for places to visit, restaurants, etc. It's a wonderfully quiet location, with easy access to the main Brindisi - Bari highway, the beaches, and Ostuni. The...

Our hosts Paolo and Leonie made us feel very very welcome throughout our 10 day stay. They were always available and full of ideas for beaches, restaurants and towns to visit - we were new to the area and they could not have been more helpful. The property is surrounded by olive trees and is very peaceful with a lovely...

Our first visit to Puglia and we couldn't have asked for a more perfect place to stay. From the minute we arrived to our departure, the owners, Paulo and Leonie, were the perfect hosts. They helped my wife and I with restaurant recommendations and booking reservations for them, places to visit and even assisted with a parking fine that I...

This is an amazing place to stay amongst the olive groves of Puglia. We stayed for a week in an apartment. The hosts and their staff were so helpful and kind and there are some little touches that you don't always find such as a towel each for use around the pool. Daily cleaning and linen changes were much appreciated...

This beautiful masseria is down a track in the middle of olive groves with Ostuni in the distance. We arrived in a thunder storm and Paulo came out to the car with umberellas to keep us dry! Our room was up an outside staircase and had it's own rooftop patio overlooking the garden which has a small pool and plenty...

Just returned from a week at La Rascina. A beautiful, well-cared-for B & B and much more. Our suite opened out from its patio onto the garden, a few steps away from the pool. All tranquil and picturesque. Breakfast was offered at a long table outside the main house: "from 8.30 until the last guest gets up". The ripe figs...

What a lovely week we spent at La Rasina last year. We travelled with our almost-one year old. From arrival to departure we were well looked after by paolo, Leonie and the staff who are exceptionally warm ( sometimes you notice these things even more when you travel with a child.)The accomodation was spotless, with daily cleaning and breakfast was...

A belated thank you to Paolo and Leonie for sharing their home with such welcome. Our family enjoyed a wonderful few days over the summer and benefited from the quiet calm of the masseria, the delightful breakfasts and the local insights of Paolo and Leonie for restaurant and beach club suggestions. Highly recommend. Given the depth of the pool, I...

Their assistance and guidance on where to go and importantly where not to go saved time and allowerd us to enjoy the best. We stayed in the only two bedroom apartment upstairs with a...
