A last minute call to accommodation that we knew about but had not visited, boxes ticked on TripAdvisor, so only one night for a quick weekend getaway from Cape Town. Huge well appointed room, enormous bed (2 singles together) and tasty breakfast. Enormous grounds that just calls for time for reflection.........the whole province will be ecstatic when the drought breaks....

My wife and I, with a long time friend now resident in South Africa, paid a return visit for two nights in February, to this charming retreat in a lovely garden setting. The rooms were very comfortable and our hosts most attentive. A beautiful setting in this delightful South African village.

Just spent 2 glorious nights at this wonderful BnB in Greyton. Lovely room with huge king size bed. Tastefully decorated. Enough plugs to charge devices. Amazing huge bath - great for two people ;). Breakfast on both mornings was fresh and tasty. Set in the most beautiful garden with lovely scents of rose and other colorful flowers, this is really...

On the recommendation of friends who live in Greyton, I stayed at High Hopes for just one night. It is has a charming, country cottage feel - chintz curtains, old prints on the walls. A sweet vase containing flowers picked from their garden completed the picture for me. My room was very comfortable and had everything you could wish for...

We stayed for 5 nights. The staff were friendly. The breakfast was great. Really enjoyed the 4 course breakfast. The wind rustling in the trees really made is relax. We stayed in the Lilly room and made a fire for two of the nights that we stayed.

I have had the great pleasure of staying at High Hopes a number of times over a 4 year period, and I can't speak highly enough of Angela and Sharon’s hospitality. But let me put that in perspective. I’ve lived in 16 cities on 6 continents and visited over 400 destinations. I’ve stayed in 6 star resorts, shantytowns and everything...

We had High Hopes of this establishment upon reading reviews. The rooms are spacious but the overall feeling is one of grubbiness. The whole place needs a thorough cleaning, especially the bathrooms. Like it or not, cats will be sharing your space. Breakfast was good if somewhat small.

The owners and staff are warm and lovely, but we were disappointed in the standard of the room "sold" as luxury. The bath is super small and old, and for what we paid vs the standard of the room, it is not luxury, but very standard. The breakfast was terrible. 4 course ended up being scrambled eggs on toast, as...

Our warm and cozy bedroom with fireplace was most welcome on a rainy weekend. The hosts were away at the time but we were very well looked after by Stephanie. The hotel is close enough to walk into town as well as into the nature reserve. The garden is magical and we loved our time here.

“I stayed in both Violet and Buttercup and was thrilled with both - the rooms are furnished in different styles, but both had excellent bathrooms, very comfortable beds, a great supply of books, extra wool rugs and throws, interesting and beautiful art works, furnished patios, wood-burning fireplaces and satellite television. Just heavenly. Pick a room ... any room!”
