Spent new years at Södertuna with the afternoon tea, dinner in evening and breakfast. The afternoon tea was exactly what you like from an afternoon tea (except champagne) standard of the dishes were very good. Dinner at night was nice as well and breakfast was good with both cold and hot options. Had a double room in von Eckermann building...

This is one of the most amazing properties I have stayed in, in my life. Next to a big lake, amongst use greenery, this place is a hidden gem. The rooms are big and clean. The food is outstanding The staff is very friendly and nice. The running trails along the property are stunning. It has amenities like pool, snooker...

The room is very small and not cosy at all, as you would imagine at a “castle”. It is very impersonal and kind of reminds you of some certain hotel chains, instead of cute guest houses. The room was semi-clean and very sterile in the sense of furnishing.

My family stayed here for an Easter weekend and we were really pleased with the entire experience. Booked the stay over the phone and it was quick and easy. The location is very nice with great views over the nearby lake and a forest. The room was nice, not so big but a crib could fit with no problem. Very...

Afternoon tea: was magical, with a wide variety of very good quality food (savoury and sweet), and no problems being vegetarian. We sat in the closed veranda with a 17th Century view of gardens and side buildings and lake. The only complaint was the tea water temperature was too low, so the tea was undrinkable. Would definately go back...

My husband went to this beautiful castle on Valentine's Day for afternoon tea and it was just delightful! The staff was very friendly and the buffet delicious! The only problem was finding seating as it was very busy that day. We started off eating upstairs but it was so far away from the buffet and we were surrounded by strangers....

Took a day out with my wife to visit a nearby stately home for afternoon tea. The building is lovely and we sat out in a modern veranda built onto the back of the restored house. The atmosphere is very genuine and warm and we had a nice view out towards the two old wings of the house. The grounds...

Drove here from Nyköping with my husband on a cold but clear January day. The building is beautiful and has a fabulous outlook over the lake so a Summer visit would be even more wonderful. The tea consists of a buffet and you can sit down in the conservatory or in cosy chairs beside a crackling fire in other small...

We spent two nights here over NYE 2014. It was enjoyable but the rooms didn't match the rest. The food was brilliant and I had no complaints about the variety and taste of food. The downside was the noise in the room on the first night. Most of the other guests were older so its not like its a party...

Finally my wife and I got the opportunity to get a w/e by ourselves. We chose Södertuna Castle in the county Södermanland. To get there is quite easy by train as there is a railwaystation about 10 kilometres away, on the other end of the lake Frösjön. Several connections every day from Stockholm. By car you get there on winding...
