Fantastic food and personnel. We had a problem with our booking, personnel's attitude: don't worry we'll fix it - and they did. Also a wonderful building and comfortable rooms (and beds). Will go again.

Stayed there one night, loved the interior with the cozy lounge to have a drink before diner. Our room was really nice too (good to have bathtub in winter) comfy bed but maybe too soft mattress. Bit pricy but worth it!

Absolute fantastic food(!), in a fantastic environment. Staff was splendid and the 18th century "inn" created the perfect "wrapping". I can warmly recommend a visit. Room "(standard) was in a "old fashioned" style with oak floor, splendid view and no disturbance what so ever. The breakfast buffet held as high standard as everything else.

The hotel is a lovely 18th century building extended to provide more accommodation. we stayed in the extension. Very nice, well decorated if slightly on the small side. Double room. The beds i have to say are the most comfortable i have ever slept in (in a hotel), and the softest sheets and pillows. I can't say honestly whether this...

Really nice room in old style. Great beds. A large breakfast. The downside: a bit pricey and that we could not have the breakfast facing the castle (instead we had the breakfast in what looked like a dark steakhouse). The service? We only came in contact with the staff twice. At check-in (1 min wait) and check-out (10 min wait...

We have never stayed at the Hotel but use it for breakfast, lunch and drinks in the evening. The breakfast is excellent quality and value. The lunch is a fixed menu in the bar Monday to Friday. It is normally two courses.

Good hotel in a great location with wonderful views over the castle. The rooms are slightly older fashion, but beds were comfortable and wifi worked (and room was biggest we had during our stay in Sweden). The outside bar was really really relaxing - with great views of the castle. However, the evening meal we had inside was fantastic: great...

Mariefred has an ideal location on the lake Mälaren, with a nice view of the Gripsholm castle. The Inn has long history, renovated in 1989. Nice atmosphere, comfortable rooms, breakfast over average. We had a feeling that the Inn was somewhat understaffed and overpriced. The food was OK but far from gourmet as claimed and presented. All in all to...

Wonderful hotel with a view over Gripsholms Castle. Slightly old standard in the rooms but this was compensated by the fantastic meal served in the evening and the nice souroundings. The conference rooms were new and modern. In all a very nice stay and I will definitely come here again.

The hotel is nice and clean, has a cozy ambience. The food was ok however was a bit pricey for the portion size and had to wait for some time to get our 3 course dinner plates. The beds are comfortable and the rooms are clean. In the morning though, if you are a bird lover, you then might enjoy...
