It takes ages to get here. We arrived after 9pm,it was dark and check-in was a bit hectic - a bad first impression. After a rushed dinner it look ages to find our room amongst the labyrinth of rooms. The room (a superior) was large with a lovely sea view. In the morning the sun was pouring in onto the balcony and into the room and we realized we had a lovely view across to Tenerife and Teide. It took a wild to get our bearings. The place is big, perhaps a bit too big for us, but there was plenty of things to do. I did struggle to find out what was on offer and how things worked as the welcome info was lacking somewhat. That said, the staff were wonderful and always happy to answer your queries with a smile. We were half board. Food was plentiful though rather plain & uninspiring for vegetarians - though well done for having a 'veggie corner'. Desserts were out of this world though. Men were asked to wear long trousers and no open toe footwear in the restaurant in the evening which was fair enough, though women could wear what they wanted. That said, the lady guests were generally better dressed than the gents anyway. The hotel is at the top of the cliffs and there's nothing else going on up there. There is plenty of evening entertainment though it wasn't really to our taste - catering more for their older clients (we're in our mid 50s and were well below the average age). It's easy to get down to Plaza Santiago via the hotel lift. Santiago is a nice quiet town, and even though tourists and ex pats outnumber locals, it's not a nice authentic feel to it.…
Our holiday was a dream, we had many magic moments with the wonderful pianist Anne-Tina, thank you so much for sharing your music with our hearts. Also a big thank you to the service team, specially Mustafa. For sure we will come back, specially because of Anne-Tina and an amazing Golf place, also thanks to the full team in Jardin Tecina and Tecina Golf place, Your Holli and Bente (Danish lady🇩🇰)
No doubt that he hotel is in a perfect location and well maintained. The rooms/units are nice and quiet though you'd expect an internet connected TV in such an hotel. We selected a half board stay and can't complain about the food variety though some stations do not provide warm enough food. Overall we found this hotel on the high side for value but we were there for NYE which might explain ( not excuse) this. Note that the organisation of check in and out though resembling a DMV process is far less efficient and a great waste of time. Just be ready..
Staying here over New Year 2021 and although the location is great the Hotel is very poorly organised. We have a half board package and although the hotel has 4 separate restaurants other than the Buffet they only allow a 25% discount rather than a suppliment when you use actually suggesting they do not value their half board offering very highly The general organisation at the Hotel is terrible I am currently in a queue for booking the New Year Gala Dinner been an hour so far and still no where near the front. What can be so hard about taking a room number and selecting a Table. Check in was also a nightmare and no help whatsoever with transfer from the port if arrival So far not so good
Very good food, beautiful garden, nice rooms, spectacular views, but if you, like me, like your morning swim, I am afraid this is not a hotel for you: there is no beach next to the hotel and the pools remain closed till 10am! There is also a very limited number of tables outside, so make sure you arrive early if you want to enjoy a sea view over your breakfast coffee.
