Having previously been to Chiang Mai for a detox, my expectations were far too high when I arrived at the Samui beach accommodation and I was very disappointed. Initially I stayed in an upstairs room that was noisy and smelt bad so I then moved to an A frame which was so small and dark with no storage. Other guests...

OK, so a first for me. Detox! I did the "Change My Life" 7 day detox program. Every day I went to a guided meditation, yoga, massage, and sauna. I also drank the shakes, took the supplements, and put 17 liters of coffee water up my bum twice a day. Haha! It was interesting. I met the most amazing people...

This was my third visit and detox at Spa Samui. First two at The Beach, but due to the road noise this time I went to The Village. The detox is a self managed program, well organised and contrary to what many people think, it's not difficult to do a 7 or 10 day fast as you are surrounded by...

We stayed here for two nights in a standard room. The room was clean and good value for the price but there were a couple of drawbacks. Firstly, it was rather noisy with the main road being behind the bathroom and secondly, our aircon broke and we were boiling for our second night. We stayed here because of the fantastic...

I am a regular at Radiance (the restaurant at Spa Samui in Lamai Beach), but I am starting to wonder whether I should just save my money. Every time I have a meal, the portions seem to get smaller and smaller. I am not the only person that has this issue - other locals say the same thing. Even as...

Who would have guessed that leaving my family and travelling by myself thousands of miles from home to a country renowned for its incredible cuisine, in order to fast for ten days would be one of the best things that I have ever done? But my goodness it was, and if you are even slightly thinking that a stay at...

I was at the Spa last month, my second trip in 11 years. I went for the 7 day detox fast and stayed at the village up in the hills (not the beach). I am so happy I did this fast again. It is almost a religious experience. Pure 7 day detox for my 41 year old body that badly...

I stayed at this resort 15 years ago. As well, we had just spent a wonderful 2 weeks at the Spa Resort in Chiang Mai. Perhaps I had my hopes too high and maybe I would have settled into things if we'd stayed more than one night, but overall, this was such a disappointment! It used to be such a...

Last year I picked up Colloidal Silver in this place, which I had ordered in advance. This year I specially traveled to Samui for getting more of it and again asked the office of The Spa to put some bottles away and - this time - keep it in the shade... This was nicely confirmed. When I arrived there -...

“I would recommend staying elsewhere and using this place for the restaurant or the detox program.”

“Ask for B11 which is literally 1 metre from the beach”

“I stayed in a A frame and although the website says they are on the beach the aren't actually in the sand - more around the pool, maybe it's obvious to others buying expected them to be on the beach. Request one closest to the beach if this is the accommodation option you go with. also if you are a light sleeper take ear plugs as there something across the street that is noisy Thur night and over the weekend.”

“Stay elsewhere, really, you will be much happier. If you must stay, the A frames are quieter but can get strong sulphur smells. The block of apartments are too noisy for sleep-main road metres away from your head. Poolsawat Villa next door is a good alternative. Clean.”

“Bungalow style rooms too small for two people . Also the noise level between these rooms are as if your next door neighbors are in your room. I would opt for a regular room as opposed to the bungalows . Be careful of the step down into the bathroom.”
