After spending a week on the beach at Lamai, I wanted to try something different! Located a bit further away from the beach front, on the hill side, but still within easy walk to the beach, this charming place offers something different that rocked my boat. As there very few other guests and my bungalow was far from the road,... More

The Varinda Resort , is an amazing place with friendly welcoming people and views that will "wow" you! Simply a small part of paradise. A unique setting with lots to see wherever you look! The pools have great views, the restaurant is quite simply unique and tantalising to the eyes! The view at breakfast over Lamai bay is simply sublime.

We had a 4 night stay here but could of easily stayed longer. This family run resort was unique with consideration to its surroundings paramount. If you are after your 5 star fluffly towels and table clothed dining area this is not for you. If you after a clean, friendly resort with amazing views and quirky rooms then this is... More

We stayed here for 3 nights and had a great time. The staff were lovely, the rooms were well equipped, the breakfast was lovely and the swimming pool was awesome. The has been much thought, hard work and love put into the building and decoration. Both us and our children (9 and 6 yr old boys) loved it. The location... More

Varinda garden is a very unique family run hotel/resort. The staff was friendly and especially at breakfast they helped us with our little kids. We have to say though that to reach the hotel you either climb up stairs or have to walk up/down a hill and with a toddler and a baby it's a challenge. It's best if you... More

The reviews are true: if you're looking for fancy sheets and showers, this isn't the spot for you. However, if you're looking for a most relaxing, charming, friendly, sweet space from which to watch the calm sea and soak up the serene sunrise... this is it. The pool was a haven for children from all over and my 9 year... More

So glad we found this place, it is so different and very quirky yet homely, I loved it here. We stayed 3 nights at multiple locations around the island and this was my favourite place. To top it off, the owners (and their 4 dogs) and so friendly, it makes a real difference staying at a family run place rather... More

If you are after high end luxury, marble floors and gold taps, this place is not for you. If you are after something a bit different, with great service at a family run hotel, it is. Bags of character and charm and a sense of fun. Yes, some things could probably do with upgrading (sheets and towels definitely and a... More

I loved my three night stay here last month. We had a two bedroom suite in the garden which felt like it was in a rainforest with all the trees and plants and the only downside of that was constantly thinking it was raining with the water features trickling. At night, it could be surrounded by moths and mosquitos but... More
