After driving most of the day from Reine, a mostly very scenic trip that winds its way from the spiky coast of the south, north through farming valleys and then east up the coast again, we arrived in magical Henningsvaer. It's a gorgeous spot, and the last part of the drive is truly other worldly. We'd booked this hotel through...

Hello. Thank you for your feedback on TripAdvisor and it's really sad that you experienced this on their trip. We have checked our systems what has happened and it seems like their originally booking was canceled on July 5 at 12:44 pm and this was received at the hotel. We also see that you have made a new reservation on...

We liked this hotel so much we stayed here twice, on the way out to the end of Lofoten and the way back. Service was very good, such as building a fire for me in the lobby when I came in from an early morning walk, wet and cold from the rain. The breakfast included everything a person could think...

This is a very small and friendly hotel. It is really back to basics, but offers what you need. I would not stay there for a romantically holiday, but a great place to stay to admire the beautiful nature.

The main problem I have with this hotel is the room. The bed is really uncomfortable. It comes with a soft top mattress that slips off. Not all windows are covered properly against the light. So it's too bright during a summer night. If you are a light sleeper like me, that's a problem. The bathroom only has a shower...

We had a terrible night at Bryggehotel. Just opposite of the hotel is a bar with loud music and shouting people in the street. Could not sleep until 3:00 in the morning. That happens every Friday according to locals. Not acceptable for a hotel of that standard to offer rooms where it is impossible to sleep.

We booked a double room with sea view. This mens that you do not get a view over the parking, but not necessarily with a sea view. Some water view yes Room was tiny, which goes for bathroom facilities. Impossible to shower without making wet the entire toilet. Room had no charm. I would expect more at that price level....

We stayed here 3 nights in July after 4 nights in Reine. The hotel is in a pretty location in the middle of the harbour at Henningsvaer. Parking can be a problem in high season as although there is a large car park in the village it is extremely popular with day trippers, coaches, and camper vans. We had a...

This modern hotel is built on a pier, looking out over the harbour, and across to the mountains - probably the most picturesque location one could imagine! Rooms are small, but with a good bathroom (with a real bath!) Breakfast was good, and the staff are very friendly. Highly recommended.

The hotel is in the centre of town and built on a pier (hence Bryggehotel). It offers kayak tours and rental bikes right at the hotel. The breakfasts are very good with the dining room overlooking the harbour. We had rooms on the ground floor which were small and overlooked a lane. The lane had a very good poster of...

Henningsvaer is a most beautiful village in a most amazing spot. And the Bryggehotel offers the right type of accommodation to enjoy this very special part of the Lofoten Islands. It's situated at the edge of the village. Parking nearby. The style of the hotel is simple and elegant. Wooden floors with Persian carpets. Lovely deck. Good restaurant. Excellent breakfast....

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Henningsvaer Bryggehotell The charming fishing village of Henningsvaer is situated on several islands. This cluster of islands are surrounded by impressive mountains that steeply rises up from the salty Lofoten sea. There are no shopping centres here, instead there are lots of small and cosy shops, studios, galleries and places to eat. Here you can experience the Midnight Sun, Northern Lights, Autumn Storms and the most amazing Summer Days - all depending on season and weather. But, no matter when you arrive, nature will be beautiful, challenging and setting the mood. Hope to see you!! Linda Karlsen Hotel Manager ... more   less
