Our stay there was included as part of a self-driving tour package, so I don't really know how expensive the rooms are. But our large, comfortable room had a stunning view of the fjord, even from the bathroom! The grounds are beautiful, with an infinity pool, Jacuzzi, lap pool, and lots of outdoor seating. As we explored further, we found...

By far Hotel Ullensvang was the nicest hotel we stayed at in our short trip visiting the Fjords. The hotel was out dated but the location on the Water made it worth it. If you have time, which we didn't, they have a tennis court, pool, and a spa. Our kids enjoyed the all you can eat buffet but it...

This is a difficult review to write. Ullensvang is beautifully located. From our room, we overlooked the Fjord. The mountains facing us were resplendent with waterfalls and a touch of snow. A bit to the left we could see bits of the glacier, feeding the water. There are a few houses nearby, a church, and plenty of orchards climbing the...

The hotel has a splendid view of Hardangerfjord and all the public rooms face it, sunrise to sunset. It has been updated and has lovely décor and very friendly service. However, our room didn't have the water view; we faced the "orchards and schoolchildren going to school." We also faced the road with blinding lights and traffic all night long;...

Enroute from Bergen to Oslo, one day stopover. Room at this hotel good. Comes with buffet dinner & breakfast. Hotel has beautiful scenic overlooks of fjord and mountains. Free walking maps of apple orchards around neighboring hillsides. Free use of paddle boat or rowboat very romantic for sunset photos. Jim W of NYC

This was our first stop on a self drive tour of the Western Fjords and was a lovely introduction to Norway. The staff were universally helpful and thoughtful and made sure that we were happy and comfortable throughout our stay. The buffet food was excellent and again the staff were great. Our rooms were comfortable with a glorious view over...

This old hotel has been modernized with up to date facilities and fabulous food, buffet style but with more than the usual selections. Request a fjord view but if not available don't despair since the other view is of orchards and kids walking to school in the morning. The grounds are splendid; pool and fjord swimming available. We had a...

Our rooms had excellent views over the fjord, which were breathtaking. We arrived a little late to use the pool facilities but had a lovely wander around instead. The grounds were excellent and felt very relaxing.
