Really good hotel on the less busy and more quite west coast of Gran Canaria. Nice rooms, cosy pool area and extremely friendly and service minded staff. Perfect breakfast with lots of different things to choose between. Highly recommend.

If you know where you're going and don't expect a tourist place, this hotel is a good choice. La Aldea Suites are absolutely OK to stay overnight. The town is ... nothing special. The few restaurants around are not attractive at all. So, be prepared to have your dinner somewhere

The hotel and it's staff are good, most helpful reception guy (Sergio), all the breakfast girls are nice and helpful too. You'll need google translator which is good, it's not a tourist location. Plenty for breakfast and there's a much needed micro if you fancy anything warmed

Thank you for your comments. Our hotel is located in a very very small and quiet tipical Canarian village. I am a bit surpised about the comments of the noise but ok everybody has his own experiance. There are quiet a few Canarian restaurants on walking distance but that do fish and octopus and wrinkled potatoes aswell. Maybe you didn't know about them. They are (3 of them) next to the church at about 5 min walking from the hotel. Also no we really have a good italian restaurant!!!!!!

Slightly put off on arrival by girl on reception drumming her fingernails on the counter while waiting for us to produce id/sign forms. We stayed overnight whilst travelling around the island. Nice, big room. Buffet breakfast OK but not to my taste (plenty of it though if

Hi Sharon, The hotel is in the town, so walking around is no problem. There are lots of walking routes in the area, either directly from the hotel, or a short bus ride away. There is a bus stop quite close to the hotel with buses running north along the coast and south through the mountains to the south coast. If you are interested in walks it is worth getting a walking guide and map.

Hi sorry for delay have had an extremely busy week event planning etc. Hope this reply does not come too late. Rachel, from what I can gather the buses run but not regularly on a Sunday. we had a major issue because of transfers supposedly booked thru travel agents. on arrival no one had the booking. however a taxi for about 80 euros is available. My husband seems to recall we had missed last bus which was around 2.30pm in afternoon. So a word of caution.. prepare to take a taxi which is about an 1 hr 15 approx.

Both available. And excellent too. Even a bottle of 'Cava' available each morning. The breakfast room is nothing spectacular but the food is good quality, fresh and plenty of it.
