It is a perfect Hotel to explore Santorini, quiet but it is just 20 min with bus/car from Fira, it is really close to the famous red, white, black beaches, and in the other side of the island you can also find some secret beaches, if you want to avoid the crowded places. The Hotel has it own kitchen what...

Our hotel recommended dinner at Carlos Pansion, and what a great recommendation it was! Arsenios, the owner, is extremely passionate about his food which is evident when you eat it (I definitely recommend the Hard Cheese Saganaki with Marmalade on top). Overall, you will get a very authentic atmosphere, delicious food priced fairly, an amazing staff, and an unforgettable experience....

I cannot recommend Carlos Pansion highly enough. I would come back every year if I could. Mrs. Eva, Rafael and Juliana are simply amazing people. From the first moment they made us feel like family, which is very rare these days. The place has a homey feel with very comfortable rooms, great installations and easy access to the nicest places...

Myself and my partner stayed in Santorini for a week and we were recommended to go to the Carlos by the owner of our hotel. We went on a Saturday night and I had the chicken with potatoes and my partner had Moussaka. We both loved our food and the beer and wine is also really nice. The waitress had...

This restaurant was recommended by our hotel. It was a fantastic suggestion and really made our night. The host was great and made a lot of awesome suggestions. Food was freshly made and he even gave us a nice little cocktail to top the night off. Highly recommend!

Wife and I in the area staying locally to Carlos, mentioned by others... From an unassuming entrance we entered a little slice of Greek culture forgotten on the tourist road trip. Food was exceptional, service just spot on and the warmth of the team serving portrayed the passion they have for their business. We did not experience the accommodation but...

Food, a lovely breeze and such knowledgable and friendly staff. I had the hummus and my partner had the fried zucchini to start - wow - the waiter told us how they used the pumice soil to their advantage for growing their own vegetables. Our mains were stunning and the carafe of red wine was superb. I can't wait to...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
In the Southwest corner of the majestic island of Santorini, you will find Pansion Carlos nestled in the heart of traditional Akrotiri, located 10 km from Fira, 8 km from the main port and only 12 km from the airport. Many travelers will find the relative peace and quiet of Akrotiri a refreshing break from the excitement and crowds of the more northern towns, but easy access to busses, car and moto rentals, and boat excursions leaves the island entirely within your reach. A charming town with clear traditional roots, Akrotiri blends the history of a hilltop Byzantine castle with traditional Santorini architecture. Clusters of whitewashed, blue-shuttered houses line the walk from Pansion Carlos up the hill to breathtaking and unique views of the island and its volcanoes. The town itself is situated above the prehistoric settlement of Akrotiri, one of the most important archaelogical sites in the world. The friendly locals and intimate feel of Akrotiri make it the perfect vacation destination for families, couples, and lone travelers who wish to have a relaxing trip to Greece. ... more   less
