We arrived at this resort after coming from another island. The front lobby and general traffic is very busy - it felt like the mainland! In spite of all of this, the staff, concierge, porters are all incredibly professional and awesome. We were shuttled to our overwater bungalow with amazing new decor (gorgeous and modern) and a gorgeous view. We were hesitant to snorkel below it as the waters did not feel very protected. We were pleasantly surprised to find that the pools are gorgeous and open, but seating is not well tended to (dirty, a bit trashed, litter around) and it felt a bit more like - everyone takes cares of themselves. This is not the resort experience I was hoping for, but we made do. The restaurants were great with a great variety and selection. Housekeeping was surprisingly fast and so attentive. There were ultimately so many pros and cons of this place. This is a resort I would stay for a few days but not an entire trip; it was incredibly busy and not the Tahiti experience one would expect to have.

Like most, my husband and I stayed here as our first stop in French Polynesia. We stayed two nights to "acclimate" once we arrived in FP. The hotel served it's purpose and was BY FAR the best option in Papeete. Clean, close to the airport- not somewhere I would consider a prime destination. The front desk service was great! The check-in process was quick and easy - my only complaint was that we did have to request a room change. When we first checked in - we were booked in room 235 - it was supposed to be an ocean view room - it had a view alright, of the back of the towel cabana roof!!! The room is on the corner overlooking the pool, the cabana roof and right next to the open air restaurant and service alley! Likely one of the WORST rooms in the place (and no view). We immediately requested a room change, and found it odd that the front desk though we were crazy for the complaint - the only other room option they had was a ground level floor. I was skeptical, so we requested to see the room before changing. The front desk made it seem that the new room was "lesser" than the one we had. But they couldn't have been more wrong. Room 156 was our new assignment and it was great! Though the bathroom was a bit smaller, the rest of the room was freshly renovated and the view was amazing! Much better than room 235. The rest of the experience was fine - we didn't do the buffet, but they offered a la carte in the upper cafe . We had the continental for 1 and shared it (it was way more food than anyone needs). It would have been great to have a coffee maker in the room - but the restaurant is open at 6am and you can get takeaway coffee. It rained our whole day there, so I used the gym - which was great - well equipped. My thoughts - good stop over, but they take advantage of their "chain" status - meaning prices are a bit inflated. Don't stay for more than a day or two. Standard/Delux rooms are quite nice. Avoid rooms 235 or 335 - ask for an ocean view away from the restaurant. There is a Carrefour about 15 min walk - good for food and alcohol to take with you to the other islands.

We spent a week in Moorea and decided to spend the last day/night in Tahiti before flying home. Got an ordinary king room, nothing luxurious but it was clean, the bed linens were very nice and comfortable, and the room was quiet. Staff were super helpful. Our flight was at 9:15 pm, check out time is 11:00 am, while the hotel could not give us late check out, they were extremely accommodating to store our luggage, continue access to everything (namely the pools) and the use of “transit rooms” so we could shower before leaving for the airport. Minor downside: the drain in the shower was a little slow (seems like a common issue in this part of the world as we experienced that at another place in Moorea as well), and the breakfast buffet was kind pf pricey. We had the “cold” continental breakfast buffet for about USD 38 per person. While the bread and pastries were very good, I was hoping for more fresh, local fruits like pineapples, papayas, etc. instead we had canned lychee, canned peaches, and some thing else. Overall, very happy with the stay and would recommend it to friends.

Thank you COVID for the fact I had to re-book this trip 4 times! Unfortunately, when I originally booked the rooms at the hotel I thought I was on their website but instead I was on Expedia. PLEASE NOTE THAT ONE MUST BE CAREFUL! I called the hotel when the island was closed to change the reservation. They would not after a month of writing back and forth do anything for me. They, in fact, quit writing. I wrote to confirm our reservation and received a rude e-mail back. She did finally write and apologize. When we arrived I brought up the difficulties we had and upon conferring with someone in the back room they agreed as a peace offering to give us a 6:00 pm check out without charge for our last stay at the hotel. That was greatly appreciated and alleviated much of my ill feeling for the hotel. The property is very pretty and the room was nice.

We stayed here for a night on each end of our 2 week trip. It’s a gorgeous property with wonderful views, comfortable beds, and a lovely spa. We’ve read the reviews about the property needing a renovation, and had an opportunity to stay in both a new, renovated room and an original room. Both were lovely and equally comfortable. Service was also great. And some special recognition to Moana, Joel, Lilane, and Louis for making our sunset hours and dinners so special and delightful. And the breakfast buffets were a highlight. A perfect place to stay before and after our longest legs of travel.
