Some years ago, whilst waiting for 9 hours in Karachi airport with gunfire all around, I invented a game called Perfect World. In it you imagine which groups of people you would get to do which tasks in a perfect world. The Swiss always featured highly in my hotel world but then I realised that this might be a bit...

We had a wonderful stay at this beautiful b and b which is situated within easy driving access to many beautiful beaches, walks and places to eat. We stayed in the Potager which was perfect and gorgeously decorated. Blair and Jill are amazing hosts and made us feel so welcome, they have an abundance of information about the area and...

My husband and myself stayed for one week at this fabulous bed & breakfast. Blair and Jill made us feel extremely welcome from the moment we arrived until the moment we left. Jill's locally soured and perfectly cooked breakfasts were delicious, backed up by tasty home made granola and yogurt with different fruit provided every morning. The room and en...

Hay Barton is a characterful, welcoming and thoroughly charming place to visit and use as great base to explore the Roseland peninsula. It is not so far south on the peninsula that accessibility to most of Cornwall is still relatively quick with the local King Harry ferry to take you West. Our accommodation was more than hospitable with afternoon tea...

Adapting a Victorian farmhouse to modern living without sacrificing it's character is not an easy task but Blair and Jill have done exactly that and some. Previous postings list the excellent facilities plus all of the additional extra touches that set it apart from many other offerings. But it is your hosts who make your stay that extra bit special....

This Georgian Farmhouse is quite and tranquil and was the perfect place to unwind. Sarah, Jill’s friend gave us a big warm welcome and offered us refreshments...

What a gem this place is..... Beautiful location surrounded by caramac cows and jet black hens who provide the fabulous eggs for breakfast. Oh so comfy rooms and guest lounge stuffed full with lovely touches and all manner of edibles. The cakes were superb. Jill's homemade jams and marmalades, rich yogurt, a cooked breakfast worth getting fat for, we lacked...

Hay Barton is a fantastic farmhouse B&B in Tregony, less than half an hour from St. Mawes. Jill & Blair were delightful hosts who made our long weekend family celebration in Cornwall that extra bit special. From the wonderful views of the cattle grazing in the fields, to the very comfortable clean bedrooms with large ensuite bathrooms, delicious breakfasts (especially...

Hay Barton farm B&B was not difficult to locate. Jill had sent clear directions and the SatNav was accurate too. Just a short drive from Tregony village - where we ate well in the local pub, The King's Head. Jill's breakfasts, eaten at the big table in the farm's original kitchen, but cooked from fresh local ingredients in the kitchen...
