Enagron is a very special eco village !!! We really loved the place. The area is very beautiful - situated about 40 kilometers from Rethymno in the mountains (Psiloritos) near the small charming village Axos.

Enagron is a beautiful Ecotourism Village. Our only complaint is that they did not follow through on the classes and demonstrations that they promised. We were relying that the hotel would have bread baking class, donkey ride tour, making cheese with shepherd, Cretan cooking classes, and other activities. They instead catered to a large group at the hotel, and cancelled...

We stayed only two nights at Enagron, but I wish we have more time for this great place. Enagron is off the beaten path, remote and quiet. We booked Two Room Apartment. The apartment was spacious and beautifully decorated, bedroom was big with were comfortable bed, large veranda with views to the mountain and the pool. We started our day...

Our stay was relaxing and a gastronomic delight from start to finish. After some challenges trying to locate the village (our satnav didn't know about the roads required to get there!), we were glad we made the effort. The food was delicious (the rooster stew, surprise desserts and local wines were highlights). Our only regret was that we didn't have...

We were recommended to try the restaurant at this very appealing hotel. And we were not disappointed. The menu choices were reasonable, but the quality of the cooking was excellent. However, plan your trip either with GPS or a very good map, as their local signage is very limited. And the roads are very twisty and with sheer drops on...

I just returned home from one week visit to Enagron. I had basically no expectations. The visit turned out outstanding. The retreat is managed by a very friendly way; and I felt very welcomed during the entire stay. The food is organic and based on local produce. The kichen's dishes filled me up with energi and a big smile. Great!...

We only stayed here one night during our travels round Crete. The hotel is difficult to find, but when you arrive you are blown away by the lay out, presentation and maintenance of the resort. The hotel is actually designed and set out as a mini village, with individual buildings and little roads/paths between them, surrounded by traditional cretian farming...

Enagron is a taste of essential Crete. If you have had enough of the coast, the noise and bustle of popular holiday resorts and you want peace, tranquility and excellent food in a traditional Cretan setting, then Enagron is the place for you. Enagron nestles at the side of a mountain overlooking the green slopes, olive trees and orange groves....

We just spent 8 nights/7 days at Enagron with our two children ages 4 and 10 and had a memorable holiday. Everything about Enagron is amazing - the staff, food, accommodations, local activities, and the natural surroundings (in the foothills of Mt. Psiloritis). The staff was exceptional, particularly Aphrodite and Vasily. Aphrodite was our primary server at meals, always smiling,...
