I'm a tour director this summer, so I stay in tons of hotels all over Alaska. The Grizzly Bear is my favorite property in Denali by far! Sumptuous room with balcony and river view. Plus there is a liquor storeon property and general store.

We had an excellent experience here on our trip to Denali. Comfortable beds, great hot tubs, friendly bartender, and a delicious breakfast buffet. I thought the price was fair and for traveling in Alaska.

This little hotel is amazing, we use a room not a cabin. It was surprisingly big, very nice and clean with the beatiful view to the river. I wish we stay there longer than one night. Beds very VERY comfortable, the whole room was made in wood, which was absolutelly astonning! It is located close to Denali National Park.

Before entering Denali National Park, we had a very restful stay at the Denali Grizzly Bear Resort. This rustic resort is just what you would expect in this beautiful area. The room was spacious with a balcony that overlooked the river. The beds were very comfortable, and the bathroom was clean and modern. Following the walkway down to the river,...

We spent two nights in the Cedar Lodge cabins and both our rooms had small balconies that had a view of the Nenana(?) river. I think all the lodges are situated similarly (based on Google maps) and the sound of gurgling water from the river while you're having morning coffee or an evening drink is just exquisite. The rooms are...

Watch out for this place...the cabins are ok, mattress are so cheap that i was thinking about sleeping on the floor, same amount of padding and support. .very small...hard for 2 people to move around in, can't image 4. They will nickle and dime to death...don't take their shuttle, walk across the street for the free one..and just because the...

The Grizzly Bear also has hotel rooms. The rooms are simple but nice and spacious. We had a balcony and view that overlooked the river with plenty of spruce around us. The rooms do not have a refrigerator but there is an ice machine. The matresses could have been better. They also have a small store inside the office upon...

Stayed in a tent cabin for one night as we had to get up early to get a denali shuttle bus and didn't want the hassle of putting a tent away in the morning. Cabin was in a nice location down by the river but the track down there was steep and slippery on loose earth. Cabin itself is just...

My husband and I stayed in the hotel for two nights. It was clean but nothing special for being located in one of the highest tourist destinations in Alaska. First of all they charged us $20 for a shuttle from the train depot - which we were never informed in advance of this charge. The staff in the office and...

This hotel has hard-as-a-rock mattresses and lumpy cheap pillows. I didn't get a decent night's sleep in the 2 nights we spent there. All I ask of a hotel in the central part of Alaska, is to have a good quality bed, so I can have a solid night's sleep. That's not much to ask for, but this isn't the...
