We cannot recommend Villa Alexina, David and Alex and North Corfu highly enough. Being something of an optimist, I find that my expectations of a holiday generally exceed the actual experience! Not in this case, Villa Alexina is totally charming, feels immediately like home and just keeps getting better and better. We travelled with our 20 month old daughter and...

we visited Villa Alexina for a week at Easter 2010, extended by a few days due to volcanic activity in Iceland! David and Alex, the owners, were perfect hosts - unobtrusive and yet always willing to help and advise. The villa occupies an indescribably beautiful location, overlooking the distant sea and the mountains of Albania beyond. Just the two of...

we first came to Villa Alexina in 2001 and were entranced - 9 years later, we still get the same feeling, which is now enhanced because we have come to know the owners and other people in the village. The children love the villa, and the addition of the pool 4 years ago has been the icing on the cake....

We've had the pleasure of staying at the Villa Alexina several times over the last 10 years, most recently in May, 2010. Every year it gets better as the owners, Dave and Alex, make additions to this beautifully renovated Venecian villa, including a wonderful swimming pool and air conditionning. You won't find a more beautiful terrace (overlooking the sea and...

Villa Alexina is by far the most beautiful villa I've seen anywhere--a perfect gem of a vacation home. The owners of this 400 year old property have restored it with care and love. Stunning gardens, beautiful airy rooms, amazing terraces with views of olive groves, gardens, and the blue, blue Adriatic--we could hardly believe this affordable villa was even open...

All of Greece is wonderful, but the Villa Alexina is heaven, providing both an authentic experience of Greek village life and a taste of luxury. Waken to the sound of roosters crowing and enjoy breakfast on your own second floor balcony. Drive a few minutes to a majestic sand beach. Walk through the ancient olive groves and hear the goatbells...

The accommodation is spacious, lovely vine covered terrace, superb swimming pool. We certainly had no cats intruding. If you don't want cats strolling indoors, the owner's or anyone elses - simple - keep the doors and windows closed when you are not in.

I was so shocked by the unpleasant review of the Alexina that I read here that I first thought the people who wrote it must have the wrong place but it's more likely that they were the wrong people. My family and I first visited Dave and Alex in 2006. We were a little concerned that what looked so beautiful...

My family and I know Villa Alexina well and have spent many happy times on the beautiful vine clad terrace, swimming in the fabulous pool and experiencing the absolute pleasure of being in an old Venetian style Corfiot manor house, sensitively restored , comfortable and with all mod cons. The owners are friendly and extremely hospitable, nothing is too much...

My wife and I and our three kids stayed here for a week last summer and the experience was perfect in virtually every regard. The house and grounds are actually even more beautiful than they look on the website which is really saying something. Its a beautifully renovated venetian villa at the end of a quiet road a gentle walk...
