First impressions of the hotel were disappointing. We arrived on a very wet and cold day. The Hotel is quite rundown and needs refurbishing. We had a pleasant welcome in reception and all staff were pleasant. Our very small room had a good double aspect of the weir but that was all. We were told that was why it was... More

We had a room located in the lodge. This had been recently refurbished. The room was a bit on the small side and the bed looked like a sofa bed but have to say we had a fabulous nights sleep as it was so comfortable. Nice new bathroom with lovely large shower. Although the fixtures and fittings were not fitted... More

RESTAURANT AND FOOD ONLY. We took our grand daughter (studying at Bristol University) to the Old Mill for lunch because she loves Italian food. The trip there can be motorway or via nice country scenery. The restaurant was quiet but nicely appointed with the River Avon outside the window. The service and food were excellent and we enjoyed the experience... More

The advert shows idyllic the reality is the lodge is not attached to the hotel and should not have the same rating or standard, it is cramped, metal framed Porto cabin style, not even good enough for a one night stay, unfortunately due to 7.3 listing on booking.com we thought it would be ok BIG MISTAKE, management were rude when... Most of this response to your review would be the same as the response I have given to your wife's review, which is the previous review (see separate review below this one). It is not very often that we have Wife and Husband write separate reviews. Thank you for pointing out some issues out to us. We do take all... More

We are sorry to hear that you did not enjoy your stay here with us. The staff were very rude, after we complained the duty manager said that we got what we paid for, and that the lodges are about to demolished. The lodge rooms were all disgusting plus only fit for demolition but are still being used also the car park is being used has a builder's yard it was terrible outside where you... More

This hotel is a terrible waste of a very nice location. It comprises two parts: the main building (the only part of which we used was the dining room for breakfast which was adequate) and the "Old Mill Lodge" annex which sounds very nice but actually is a block of portakabins. The standard of accommodation in the annex is so... More

The location of this hotel is fantastic but the place is old and tired in much need of investment. The room was very poor quality and scruffy - dirty carpets, cracked toilet, mould, scratched furniture etc. We looked to eat in the restaurant but it was virtually empty so we walked across the bridge to a very nice pub/restaurant. The... More

Had a wonderful 4 day stay. The hotel staff were very obliging, food was good, but the only drawback was the wifi connection. A bit complicated, you had to log in with a different code every day and reception was quite poor, otherwise a good trip.
