A clean and well equipped hotel in a beautiful location. Thin walls between rooms meant we could hear people speaking in the next room. excellent food , however don't expect to eat here if you are on a tighter holiday budget. We easily rang up £90 between two with a per dinner drink, bottle of Pinot, two courses and a...

Were guests at a wedding at Rose in Vale in August, we stayed for one night. The wedding was lovely and food good. The setting was tranquil in a beautiful hamlet. I would recommend this hotel but if we were to stay again would definitely not want room No 5 as the only view was of a slanting roof and...

This was the first time we have stayed at the Rose-in-Vale, and hopefully will not be the last. We found the staff were all very helpful and courteous and we enjoyed the use of the swimming pool and hot tub. We had booked for 3 nights originally, but enjoyed the stay so much that we extended our stay by an...

We had our first experience at staying at the rose in vale last weekend and we could not fault it. The staff were professional and friendly and couldn't do enough to make our weekend a pleasurable, chilling and one to remember . The hotel was of a very high standard especially the rooms which were spotless clean. Thank you to...

Hotel was lovely and quiet. We stayed one night on route to St Ives. It wasn't long enough. Garden suite lovely. Swimming pool was an unexpected treat and warm! Ducks and ducklings an added extra too. Evening meal good with James even providing a specially made meal for our daughter. Games in lounge a great idea. All in all a...

We had our wedding in the gardens of the hotel and the reception at the hotel too, in June 2013. We were a small party of 21 people but all were staying overnight. The location is super. It is tranquil and relaxing, and certainly off the beaten track. The staff (particularly Katharine the wedding organiser) were most helpful and our...

Recently returned from a family wedding at this hotel. Delightful location, perfect accommodation for us but such a shame that the staff service was not up to scratch. There was a lack of thought with only the bare minimum being delivered for a number of elements during our stay. Instead of going out of their way to make sure everybody...

We have just come back from a week at the Rose in vale, we had a great time. The food was fabulous but the menus over the week were slightly repetitive. We do think that for the level of the hotel charging you for a coffee after your meal seems a bit mean, and if they are going to charge...

We stayed in the Garden Suite for 3 nights in June and had a wonderful time at the Rose in Vale. The Garden Suite is in a separate building from the main hotel and offers great accommodation for families in particular. We were 2 couples travelling together. The living room and 2 bedrooms are not very large but they are...

We have just returned from a magical holiday at Rose -in- Vale and cannot recommend it more highly. Everything about it was superb, from the staff ,whom were very polite, thoughtful and helpful, to the delightful food, and to the comfortable accommodation. What more could you ask for? The lovely gardens were a pleasure to walk around and what can...
