No service at the pool and the bar closed at 10pm if I could get a refund it will be full appreciate because my experience was horrible. The food was the worst thing of the stay in that hotel. I spended 300$ for something that was worth 50$.

We stayed one night while visiting Panama and I wish I could stay more. It was like a piece of Paradise. Imagine while having your breakfast on the terrace Toucans fly by. The room was facing the rainforest and very casually in one morning I spotted over ten species of birds. The night before we had the night safari which was a complimentary feature and Emilio our guide was so knowledgable. We spotted a sloth, an owl and capybara. He told us at what time and where we may see Toucans in the morning and as he predicted at 6 am we saw about 4 Toucans on that sot. It seems hotel suffered a lot with covid situation but still in a reasonable shape. The pool was good. The lobby and cafe reasonable. Not a lot of food options in a mid week visit but whatever they served was tasty. Their drinks and breakfast was delicious. This is a spot for nature lovers and bird watchers. There are alot of activities for family and kids. It has a place in history... I will go back in a heart beat. I feel I need a week there to visit all the surrounding parks, hikes and visit the spa and have meditation. Our room was a family room with two beds upstairs with a separate wash room and shower upstairs. The quality of shampoo and soap, conditioner was great. Overall a very quint room with hammock in the balcony.

My family and I spent 2 of our 8 days in Panamá at this resort. Pros: Gamboa is beautiful. The tours offered by the resort (Ariel tram, boat expedition, sloth sanctuary, etc.) were all wonderful experiences for my entire family- boat expedition being the favorite. Cons: the hotel is in desperate need of a face lift. EVERYTHING is dated and has extreme wear and tear. Was likely nice 20yrs ago. Food: edible, but definitely not good and this goes for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. I wouldn’t pay for the food outside of the package we reserved and even with the package, I feel like I paid too much. We came to this resort after spending 3 days in Panamá city where delicious food was easy to find and inexpensive. Beds: a bit hard. We had the family room but the loft window was not sealed so all the air went right out the window making hot and tough for my kids to sleep. Staff: when we arrived we asked to inspect the room as we heard prior to arrival that the rooms had a mildew odor (ours did not). They were gracious and let us check the room out, however, when we asked their thoughts on all the bad recent reviews, they wrote it off as “haters” (yes actually used that word). This is unfortunate b/c if they can’t acknowledge the shortcomings, then they likely won’t make the much needed changes. Overall, do a day trip for excursions and experience the rainforest, but def stay elsewhere if you prefer upscale accommodations and decent food.

Horrible, check in is very tedious and miss leading with a terrible staff, prices were constantly changing even though we had prior information. The food was simple a very basic for its price. Service is abysmal, food is delivered cold, glasses badly cleaned, for instance; my girlfriend and I ordered chicken nachos, and got regular nachos. Later we ask for water, the waitress proceeded to deliver us a glass of water with a plastic wrap inside it. We were disgusted and expressed our discomfort to the staff just to be ignored. Not at all a hotel I would recommend.

A beautiful location. The staff was very nice and friendly. Good food, wonderful complimentary night safari. Clean room. Lots of animals to see. Plenty to do. We drove here from Panama City. Easy to find, plenty of parking. I would come here again. Recommend!
