It's hard to rate Gamboa as the location is excellent but the resort itself is getting run down so I gave it a 3. We stayed here 2 nights this time (vs a week 5 years ago) as part of an Air Transat package. Some changes for the worse for me were nobody seems to be putting out fruit for...

We stayed at the Gamboa Rainforest reserve in January, two couples traveling together. The accomodation was nice, some parts of the resort and grounds needed some updating and upkeep, but for the location and the price we were satisfied with our stay. The rooms were nice, beds comfortable, a little musty everywhere, but you are in a rainforest. Our rooms...

As part of the Caravan Panama Canal Tour, we stayed at the Gamboa Rainforest Resort. Absolutely delightful. It is not near shopping or heavy traffic which makes it an inviting environment. The buffet restaurant served fresh and inviting foods every meal. There was even an event you could attend highlighting sloths. It was held two evenings and I attended both....

As its name suggests, the Gamboa Rainforest Resort is situated in a rainforest area surrounded by nice grounds and hosting a range of interesting flora and fauna. Its location also provides challenges in maintenance but despite some minor problems it is a comfortable and friendly place to stay. There are many opportunities to see and find out about sloths and...

We stayed three nights with our 21 year old daughter. Loved the view and hammock on the porch. Breakfast had a good variety with hot dishes and made to order eggs and waffles. Took the night tour and nature walk that came with the room and saw a few animals. Booked a kayak tour on the canal for three hours...

We stayed at this Gamboa resort on March 5th and 6th as part of a 7nt tour of Panama with Apple Vacations/Gamboa Tours. This has the makings of a wonderful resort, but seems to be struggling with maintenance and food service. The extended water feature in the impressive atrium appeared to have been inoperable for some time. The stagnant water...

We were part of a tour. The hotel and the setting are beautiful. We had a room overlooking the swimming pool and the river; room was large, very comfortable and had a large balcony with a hammock and a couple of chairs. The buffet was very good with great variety of fresh fruits and vegetables and many delicious dishes. Service was...

Luxurious but with respect for nature. It gave us a Jurassic World feeling (go see the movie)! Great tours, tourguides are passionate, beautiful pool, garden, facilities are great. You absolutely get what you pay for.

We were here with a tour group for 2 nights. As we were on a tour we didn't spend a lot of time at the hotel, but did notice that the rooms needed better cleaning and minor repairs. The rug was absolutely filthy and needed replacing long ago. By the time we arrived, we were unable to sign up for...
