This is a fabulous gem tucked away on the Smith Dorrien Hwy between Canmore and the Kananaskis Lakes of Alberta's Eastern Slopes. The lodge is cozy and comfortable. The rooms are basic, but very comfortable. The setting could not be more spectacular with a beautiful moose meadow, Smuts Creek and a backdrop of snow capped Rockies. The food is outstanding...

We loved Mount Engadine Lodge - except maybe for the road getting to it which was a bit intimidating - but conversely made the lodge all that much better. The view from the room was spectacular. I loved the casual but very efficient, friendly and accommodating approach the staff used. The 'family style' meals are great for getting to know...

We stayed here for two nights; the first was in the yurt and the second in the lodge itself. Every aspect of our stay was enjoyable; excellent and knowledgeable staff who were a joy to be around, fabulous restaurant quality food and the most amazing location. We even saw a moose! The rooms were wonderfully comfortable and there is even...

Staff is very personal and doing a good job. Food is good but rooms and bathrooms are way too small. The surroundings are beautiful and the views of the mountains from the Lodge are great. The rest of this is simply to fulfill the strange need of getting to a minimum of 200 characters. Why would someone come up with...

Mount Engadine Lodge is a wonderful lodge. Staff are great, the food outstanding. I do have a few comments toward the negative side. - the rooms are basic but the views are amazing. Please keep in mind the moose that gather in meadow are not there all the time they arrive when the grass in the marsh is good to...

My husband and I were back at Mount Engadine Lodge for three nights after a couple years absence and a change in management. We enjoyed Whiskey Jack cabin, which had two rooms and one small bathroom with a shower. The staff had prepared the twin beds as a king bed, which worked well. The other room with a queen bed,...

The setting is phenomenal, and if you're fortunate, as we were, you will be visited by an ambling moose and treated to glorious bird sightings. The family-style dining and sitting areas are comfortable and stocked with coffee, tea and a well-curated selection of Western Canadian fiction and non-fiction. The opportunity Mount Engadine offers to gather and chat with folk from...

This place is in the middle of no where, yet only 30 minutes south of Canmore! Our rooms was nicely decorated and the views are to die for. It is also an all inclusive resort which I was a little leary of, but the food is first rate just like you would find in a high end restaurant. There are...

Hi derude, Thank you so much for your kind review and thank you for coming to visit! We love being an accessible back-country lodge and are glad that despite your initial reservations, our kitchen and Chef, Gerard Garnier, were able to win you over. We hope to see you again soon. Take care.

My friends and I recently went for a birthday road trip and stumbled upon the Mount Engadine Lodge. Being the offseason, we were pleasantly surprised with the level of service and hospitality. Along with a nice birthday treat from the staff, we sat by a wood burning fire and drank tea with the lodge dogs who greeted us with a...

So, the lodge is amazing and clean. I read Rebeccas reply to my last review and do not think she really paid attention to what I wrote. In the past when Jennifer and Blake ran the Inn it was so amazing! At breakfast there were so many choices in the buffet and the same at dinner but Jennifer was a...
