Having stayed at the Boars Head on a number of occasions, we stopped off for a coffee en route to knaresborough. Ripley is a delightful hamlet, and so worth a visit. The hotel is a great place to stay, warm, welcoming and quite gracious.

In a lovely village near Ripon and Harrogate. This is a traditional hotel and pub with a welcoming modern feel. Very comfortable rooms and lounges and helpful staff. Good breakfast and the bar meal was good quality and value. Would definitely stay again.

Stayed with friends for two nights Sunday and Monday 20/21 Nov. The accommodation was of a high standard and the staff were friendly and very efficient. We ate in the bar both nights and the food was excellent. This was a great weekend and we will return.

A well situated period hotel, originally a coaching inn, for country pursuits. You must take a guided tour around Ripley Castle which is a very short walk away.; full of interest. The food and service in the hotel was very good and it makes a good base for exploring nearby Harrogate as well as the local countryside. Rooms were a... More

Friendly staff, amazing room we were in the coachmans loft huge room and huge bed. Breakfast was beautiful and very filling. We had lunch in the bar which was ok, annoyed that 2 things from another tables order had been accidently added to our bill but when we brought this to the attention of bar staff it was corrected. Ripley is a beautiful village, stunning scenery and the Boar's Head fits into this enviroment very well. We stayed for one night, sadly they had problems with the heating and hot water but were quick to address the situation. We did not have the chance to try the pub food or restaurant for evening food but we did see several... More

The Boars Head at Ripley is a residential hotel in this estate village which serves food in the dining room as well as in the bar. We have only eaten at lunchtime in the bar. The food from a fairly short menu is excellent with the fish pie to die for. Portions are generous as we found out after ordering... More

Everything about this delightful inn was perfect. The room was more than comfortable, the food excellent, the service perfect and friendly, the location incredible and so much history both inside and out. We stayed here during September this year and were pleased with our choice. It could not have been better. We hopped on a bus to Harrogate but frankly... More
