We stayed a week in Bramble Cottage. We have often stayed in cottages around the UK and this place certainly rates as one of the best. Everything that you need for a comfortable stay is provided. From the warm welcome by Dawn, Keith and Crumble (The owners young retriever) to the great views from the windows with curious cattle, sheep,...

All the previous reviews are correct. Well furnished and comfortable barn conversion. Showers/hot water were brilliant. WiFi was a boon. Locally bred partridges were very nosey but unaware of the impending shooting season! Would recommend the Chequers Inn at Bishop Thornton for a Sunday lunch carvery (but not for meals other than the carvery). Also to be recommended is The...

I stayed in Buttercup Cottage with my young family in the run-up to attending a wedding in Ripley. We were really impressed with the cottage - it was really clean and comfortable, blending farmhouse charm with all the mod cons. It was well equipped with everything we wanted during our short stay. Dawn was quick to get back to us...

This pleasant B&B is set in the countryside in a quiet location with great views from the bedroom window. Excellent breakfast and helpful owner. The location is great for RHS Harlow Carr gardens, Harrogate and Fountains Abbey as well as the Yorkshire Dales National Park. Ripley is also nearby with its castle grounds and restaurant which was an unexped bonus...

We stayed in Bramble Cottage. All rooms are on one level which was perfect for my wife who has limited mobility. The peaceful location and view was very good enabling many opportunities to observe wildlife. It was a convenient location to visit the Great Yorkshire Show, Skipton, Knaresborough and York. Nearby is the delightful village of Ripley.

We stayed in Buttercup cottage and it was everything it was advertised as and more. On arrival we were met by Dawn with lots of local advice and then found a vase of flowers and a bowl of fruit to welcome us. It was cosy and warm with very comfy sofas and beds and a well equipped kitchen. Its location...

Stayed with my husband for one night while visiting our daughter nearby. Very quiet, comfortable and peaceful. Dawn arranged to provide a key when we called during the afternoon as they were out for the evening. Excellent breakfast and nice to have a lounge to use with settee and TV. Not far from Brimham Rocks and Ripley where we only...

I have just stayed in Buttercup cottage for the second time, having been working in nearby Ripley castle. The cottage is beautifully furnished, with comfotable furniture and warm heating. Two bathrooms are perfect when two are sharing the cottage. The wifi works perfectly, the kitchen equipment is more than adequate and the bowl of fruit, tea bags and biscuits is...

We really enjoyed our stay here at Buttercup Cottage last December. We stayed here for a long weekend and the cottages are in a perfect rural location but near enough to get into town with Ripley being close by and Harrogate and Knaresborough. The cottages were absolutely perfect and cannot fault in any way the welcome we received was lovely...

We were travelling down to pick our son up from Afc Harrogate so we decided to have a night away . When I informed Dawn it could be about 9pm before we would arrive , this wasn't a problem , just ring when passing through Ripon. I had to ring from Newcastle to say it would be nearer 10 pm...
