Not a lot to do around here, but the castle ruins are not to be missed. We stayed after a day at the castles in Schwangau. No town to walk to and not much to be seen in the area except the castle ruins and suspension bridge, which is an all uphill hike of about 30-40mins. Rooms were nice, bed...

We chose this hotel as a one-night stop over which still has us wishing that we had made it a longer one. the hotel is situated in Lechaschau within easy walking distance from town and the Lech River. The hotel is very tastefully decorated with antiques and other oddities. The rooms are super clean as is the rest of the...

The hotel was close enough to town for walking, but Reutte itself was a let down with very little to do! The hotel had a skeleton staff with very few guests which gave us the feeling that business was not doing very well -or maybe, it was off-season here. We were not happy that their restaurant was not open for...

I stayed one night with my wife and children. It is located in front of mountains with a nice view. Near this hotel, you can find a awesome and huge lake, Lech. This family-owned hotel has a nice restaurant and peaceful rooms with reasonable price. Staffs are so kind to accept your requests. I could not find shortcomings of this...

We booked a night at the Krone to finish up a day at Neuschwanstein with a couple of friends from the US - we had booked three rooms and called in the mid afternoon to warn the hotel we would be arriving late and to confirm we could still eat. The staff at check in were friendly and welcoming and...

We recently stayed in the Krone (5th to 17th Jan 2015) for my now third trip to the Arlberg and second stay at The Krone; again, a delightful experience with little to fault. There is no doubt that there are cheaper alternatives but, and for total satisfaction, worth the additional cost. The skiing in the Arlberg is undoubtedly superb and...

Price was also very good so we decided to return a few days later. Unfortunately our second visit was not as good as the first....

Not long back, after staying at this gem of a Hotel. Ideally placed for touring this area of Austria and Bavarian Germany. Rooms were clean and spacious, a welcome chocolate on the pillows and a bottle of sparkling water. Booking in was a pleasure and our bags were carried up for us, guy would not accept a tip 'it was...

Had the pleasant experience of staying at the Hotel Romantik in early August. Family room was generous, clean and had a nice separation of space between kids and parents. Although we didn't use the kitchen facilities that was a nice feature. Bathroom decent sized and spotless. We particularly enjoyed dinner in their lodge style dining area. All glass walls and...

Hotel Romantik was recommended as a wonderful dinner location, and being halfway between Neuschwanstein Castle and Linderhof Palace, this was to be a great stop. Unfortunately, being North American, we were ready for dinner by 6:00 pm and thought we would stop in. The mistake was ours, but even still, the service could have been better. Rather than being seated...
