Hotel** Restaurant La Chaumiere is OPEN all year round and welcomes you in a calm and peaceful environment . Our hotel is 5 minutes’ walk from the beach and has a very good location for connections to other towns to go and explore by walking, cycling, bus or rail. Interesting town to walk around with loads of restaurants, entertainments for kids and lovely bars. Cycle pathways within the city are excellent and make traveling with the bicycles very convenient. We offer 10 renovated rooms with new standards, including 2 family rooms, all equipped with shower, Towels, toileteries, television, fan, free safe, free WIFI in the hotel. You can dine in the restaurant or on our shaded terrace , you will taste traditional cuisine as well as Lebanese specialties. LA CHAUMIERE allows you to leave your car in its free parking lot under video surveillance. At any time of the year you can visit vineyards, museums and beautiful traditional and modern restaurants. It is also a great place to use as a base to visit lots of lovely old villages in the area such as the old buildings of volcanic stone are interesting, the churches are quite different and in the evening you can enjoy a meal on the floating restaurants.

Detailed Reviews
We stayed one week at this excellent hotel.
The location is just perfect, 2 minute walk to a fantastic beach.
The rooms are big and nicely decorated with all the amenities you need.
The owners are one of a kind, so nice and caring of their customers.
We would recommend this hotel to everybody.
It has the service of a 5* hotel!
And the restaurant serves delicious Lebanese food, so we ended eating there almost every night of our stay :)

An excellent hotel with neat and super clean rooms. The location is perfect, a couple of minutes away from the beach.
The restaurant is so good; the food is amazingly prepared; authentic Lebanese cuisine.
As for the owners, they’re so friendly, they make you feel home. And very helpful with everything.
I highly recommend this hotel as I had such a good experience there.

We arrived at Sete but fancied a beach (trip advisor reviews of Sete gave it as a beach location but it's not) so we came to Marseillan Plage. If you are in this area of the med I can't imagine why you'd go anywhere else. A lot of this region is quite private - not really commercial, and while I don't want endless beach bars full of drunken slappers grinding on morons I do like more than two restaurants to choose from which is why this little town is perfect. Popular with campers, Marseillan plage is bustling but calm, busy but relaxed, spacious beaches but a couple of tight little shopping streets. There are only 3 hotels and La Chaumiere is easily head and shoulders above the others - we looked at the other two first and were turned off by both the lax attitude and run down rooms. La Chaumiere provided us with a beautiful little room which was quiet, clean and seemingly never before slept in! A nice breakfast and a very friendly reception from the owner. I really couldnt fault this place apart from perhaps a ten minute walk from the beach so if you don't like walking it might bother you. Didn't bother me tho! I will go back without doubt.

Friendly welcome by the boss, beautiful, clean and pleasant room.
Informed that the boss - cook was absent for several days, the boss informed us of a reduced menu at the restaurant in the evening (Lebanese cuisine). Having chosen to dine there, the meal whose menu was imposed consisted of industrial products and the vegetables which accompanied a breaded escalope were served almost raw! (reduced at our request then served with a plate of butter)!!!

My husband and I stayed at La Chaumiere for 5 days, the 2nd week of June 2013. It was wonderful. The owners were kind, caring & helpful with all our 'touristy' needs, e.g., bike renting-the bikes were delivered to the door. The food was superb. Once we dined there the first evening, we never went anywhere else. Why would you? Our french was a bit rusty, being from Kingston, Ontario, Canada, but we got by very well. I had not been to Marseillan Plage in 35 yrs, as I'd worked there as an au pair girl way back. Alot has changed, and nothing had changed. We will definitely be back.

Warning ⚠️ Not serious.
I booked a room for July several months ago through Booking. Shortly before arrival, I was informed that the price was wrong and that I would have to pay almost 50% more per night. Even after trying to contact the booking site, no agreement was reached. For me, this is fraudulent practice. Be careful when booking. It is better to book a trustworthy hotel.
