We visited late March, the staff were fantastic, nothing was too much trouble. The new children's pool area is excellent, and the adult facilities simply superb. The spa treatments were excellent. Breakfast was truly fantastic and the 8 course evening meals really excellent. Great walking right outside the hotel door. Overall one of the best holidays we have had. Can't...

Stay #19 or maybe #20. To me, this is one of the best hotels in the world and certainly the best in Austria. Excellent service, everybody is friendly and helpful from the cleaning staff to the hotel manager. You feel at home here, even while it is a huge hotel nowadays. I had a biohotel studio at the ground floor:...

Beautiful hotel with stunning views all round. Has a lovely traditional feel and the rooms are very good. The food is excellent with breakfast being a huge buffet and dinner always having a large variety of options.

Again, I stayed last week of January here. Again an excellent experience. From rooms to the cuisine everything is of excellent standard. I wish all hotels where I have were like this. Can't recommend enough!

We are coming to the restaurant from the Stanglwirt when we are here in this area. It is a must! The service is excellent and they do have perfect food. Very famos is the Wiener Schnitzel. They do have also a good sorted wine menu. Just to recommend and if you never had a meal in a place where you...

A really super family-run alpine hotel and a great venue for business meetings or all forms of sport from skiing in winter to mountain walking in summer, while whatever the season, the mountain views from the rooms is spectacular. It is located in a small village some 15km away from Kitzbuhl, the nearest large town, which is easily reachable by...

A paradise for parents and children alike, with its pools, spa, steam rooms and saunas, petting zoo, bowling, tennis, opportunities for hiking and skiing, and, and, and! The landscape is breathtaking, the food is amazing, the staff (in particular Herr Gerry in the restaurant) is welcoming and treats us like royalty (and remembers our names, as we come year after...

I paid my first visit to the famous Stanglwirt in 2004 and returned a couple of times. Since then, the hotel must have doubled in terms of size and facilities. Now, change for the worse or the better? Worse: no hotel in the world may grow without sacrificing its original charme. So, of course, the Stanglwirt has lost somehow its...
