Since March 2016, The Moorhead B&B is under new management by myself Rebecca and my partner Phil. We are a three-bedroom B&B based in 50 acres of private, secluded farmland in Edstaston, Wem, Shropshire. There is also a guest lounge, dining room and free Wi-Fi throughout the house. This unique location offers a widespread choice of amenities varying from cycling, bird watching, walking, or if you just want to escape the city life and soak up the beautiful Shropshire countryside here in the private grounds of The Moorhead B&B. Therefore, we are ideally based for those visiting the area, whether it’s for work, rest or play. There are also many tourist attractions located in the Shropshire area.

Detailed Reviews
After our first stay at the Moorhead Bed & Breakfast, we knew that this was a place we would continue to come back to! Both rooms we stayed in have had big comfy beds and an amazing view. One of the rooms has a balcony, which must be perfect for summer. The host Rebekka is wonderful - friendly, helpful and has areat attention to those small details that make the stay perfect! Everything is well put together, comfortable, and clean to perfection. Also, Rebecca's full english is the best I've ever had.
Highly recommended for a serene getaway, and definitely great value for money!

We enjoyed a wonderful stay at The Moorhead. Rebecca was so lovely, warm and welcoming and every part of our stay was just what we needed! The room was clean, beautifully decorated and the bed was incredibly comfy! We ordered room service and the food was delicious - Rebecca also went to the extra length of ensuring my gluten free requirements were met with the tastiest choices available. Breakfast was equally delicious and there was an excellent selection of fruit available as well as a scrumptious cooked breakfast too. The setting is idyllic with countryside views and there was a perfect seating area to enjoy it from our room. We look forward to returning in the future!

I really want to thank Rebecca and her partner Phil for how they run this precious and special place. Everything is well thought through and high standard. The room we stayed in was beautifully decorated and very comfortable. She welcomed us with texts to make sure we had travel directions. She was very helpful with check in and we were able to order room service- beautifully presented blt sandwiches, packed with flavour after a long journey. We slept well and the shower was perfect...it was an amazing view to wake up to...she has chosen a fantastic location. The breakfast was a delight and we did not want to leave. Thank you Rebecca! I really hope we can be back 😊 X

We love the Moorhead B&B! This is our second stay here and we hope to be back again. I cannot think of anything I would improve. Rebecca is a fantastic host and nothing is too much trouble.
Set back about 500m from the road through its own private driveway with pin code entry, you feel very safe. We had the family room again with its balcony which is lovely when you have great weather (which we did) to enjoy a bottle of chilled wine (you have to bring your own but a fridge is available in the breakfast area). The views from the balcony and just generally around the house are beautiful and there are plenty of cows etc wandering through the fields. Not forgetting the lovely cats Smudge and Mittens who our girls love to play with.
A fabulous breakfast spread too with everything you could want from cereal to porridge to a full English, all superbly prepared by Rebecca.
Thanks again Rebecca, we will be back!!

The Moorhead B&B is an absolutely wonderful place. From the moment we arrived the owner, Rebbeca was so welcoming and throughout our stay she was the perfect host. Nothing is too much trouble for her.
The location is fantastic and the bedroom is a great size with wonderful views over the fields. The bed is so comfy and the room has everything you need. Breakfast is simply delicious and they do a good selection of light meals. The chips are incredible! 😋
This place is superb and we will most certainly be back for another relaxing visit.

A lovely B&B and excellent host who did everything and more for us. We stayed 2 nights and were very impressed, our room was warm and cosy and very spacious. Breakfast was full English with a great choice and we were offered an evening snack of toasted sandwiches which were delicious. As we have an electric car it was great to have a charging point available too. Highly recommended.

My wife and I stayed one night at this excellent B&B and everything was perfection.
Rebecca is the perfect host for whom nothing is to much trouble. She made us an excellent supper of bacon sandwiches and chips, followed up with the most delicious hot chocolate drinks.
Our room was light and airy, spacious and spotlessly clean. The bed was very comfortable and we had a great night’s sleep. The view from the room across the gorgeous Shropshire countryside is lovely.
The English breakfast was freshly cooked to order (there was plenty to choose from) and was delicious.
This was our first visit to The Moorhead – it will not be our last!

Had another fab stay at Rebecca’s gorgeous home as that’s exactly how it feels. She is so warm and welcoming and really makes you feel that nothing is any trouble. Breakfast is second to none and toasted sandwiches & chips for supper were great as an additional option. The rooms are immaculate and beds comfy and there are stunning views from the bay window seating area. Just ready for our next visit…

We have stayed at the Moorhead every year, since Phil & Rebecca opened in 2016!We have never been disappointed!! The attention to detail has always been spot on. 😊
We decided a weekend away would do us both a world of good after this difficult time. The Moorhead was the obvious choice, as it really is tucked away in a very quiet, rural setting. (Our treat this afternoon, as we got in our car today to leave.... a fly past of 4 vintage aircraft from a nearby RAF base... looked like a practice as few over twice)
As expected, Rebecca & Phil have made every effort to keep themselves, and their guests protected from this nasty virus! We'll done guys! Keep up the hard work. 👍👍👍

This by far the best bed & breakfast we have ever stayed in. Rebecca is absolutely wonderful, nothing is too much trouble.
The rooms are lovely, we stayed in the double which was really nice, but we could also see both Kings whilst cleaning was in progress and they are both really lovely too, room 3 being that extra bit nice, as it had a balcony with patio set to enjoy the outside.
Rebecca's full English breakfast is delicious and the variety of cereals, fruit, yoghurt, preserves/toast/croissant toppings is something you would not normally get at a B & B it is fantastic, plus the amount of hot choices is really good.
Highly recommend, will definitely be going back.
