Booked this hotel at the last minute for a spur of the moment weekend skiing. Stayed in a double room with a friend, we drove from brussels so arrived at 1am, the hotel was very accommodating giving us the code to the front door and leaving the key for us. Clean and modern, only 15 mins drive from La Bresse... More

We (a group of 6) spent a week here in July 2014 and it was fabulous. Rooms were good, nothing super flash but comfortable and big enough (just, considering all our gear :-). Food was excellent - 4 courses (the usual 3 plus cheese) and Monsieur is a great chef (not just a 'cook'). Also got an amuse bouche each... More

This is a 3 chimney rated Logis de France establishment in the Vosges Region, an unspolit area perfectly suited for walking and cycling, with heavily wooded hills, deep valleys and miles of tracks to explore. The hotel resembles a large, rather plain Swiss-style chalet and at first entry appears austere and slightly gloomy, due to its eco-lighting in the corridors.... More

The hotel is nice but what really stood out was the helpfulness and kindness of the staff. We had a small medical emergency during our stay and the owners arranged for their Doctor (who spoke English) to come and visit us in the room. They really went above and beyond, were super kind and caring. The area is neat and... More

Super friendly staff, great decor, clean and the comforts of many a 4 star hotel. With no doubt a hidden gem. The restaurant deserves a separate review as this is a bonus to have such a top restaurant attached to the hotel. Just a notch down from a Michelin restaurant. Excellent well prepared food all around. Congrats team.

Le Menil is a small place in the Vosges and we did not have very high expectations when we stopped here. However, the staff were very friendly and welcoming, and the restaurant was superb. Since the proprietors also run cooking classes in a nearby town this is perhaps not surprising. They also make a huge range of jams, from strawberry... More

“Rooms away from the restaurant and bar probably quieter, but overall no problem. Also some people may prefer to avoid "Le Grand Week-End" when it can be very busy. (Bank Holiday long weekends)”
