The hotel is runned by an indian community. The food was excellent… I did not expect to have such a good food in the middle of nowhere. The native chef has wonderful combinations of local food, fruit and vegetables… I recommend yucca soup (some sort of local potatoe). If you can bring your bike or rent one, there is an...

We arrived in August with 13 other people as an after wedding trip with our son and his new bride. It was 30 minutes trip in on dirt roads. We arrived at a hut and had to walk in with luggage for 10+ minutes. The staff were there to get some of the heavy luggage and wheeled it in. We...

Very friendly staff, beautiful (new) rooms, great location surrounded by rainforest, a small beach alongside the rivier, very good (local) food (you have to eat what's served though) and most important of all great organised activities: climbing down a waterfall, drifting down the river, a short tour through the rainforest, mountain biking and visits to two local communities. Only problem...

“While the local village tours were good, but like our experience in travels to more than 30 countries, the dances tend to be phony. Imagine what happens to authenticity, when you live in one of these villages and have to dance with Caucasians in the local dance, when 5 such tours pass by your "village" every day. You just want to collect your money and get the hell out of there. Skip these pseudo-touristic places, which are self-acclaimed exhibits of the local "culture".”
