We returned to La Torretta B & B after an 18 year absence and had a marvelous time. It was such respite after a very busy few days in Florence. This is a former home that is several hundred years old, with all that might imply. The family that runs this is wonderful and we consider them friends. Be prepared to walk up many hills - no autos in the town and lots of walking, but that's part of the charm. Learn the local customs and places and they will treat you well.

This 15th century house has been beautifully restored and made for a very nice place to spend the night in Casperia. We were sorry we were there for only one night. The owners were friendly and helpful and the breakfast buffet (served in a lovely room) had several good choices.

We arrived for our second visit to La Torretta to the warm and friendly greetings of Jennifer who had prepared two lovely, comfortable, clean and charming rooms for us and our friend. We then had a beer up on the beautiful terrace overlooking the valley below Casperia. One of the most wonderful things about Casperia and La Torretta in particular is the community - the residents are all close and everyone helps each other out. Our friend became ill during dinner (exhaustion, not the food!) and immediately Jennifer and her father came down the hill to help out, and assisted in such a kind way with others in the village in making our friend feel well again. Finally, there is a great restaurant Osteria Vigna just down the hill with wonderful sunsets, and the home is full of heritage character. While you may get some exercise carrying luggage up the steps of the village, it is greatly worth it. Highly recommended.

Visited the beautiful village of Casperia and stayed at La Torretta B&B. The room was great and had the best beds we have slept in in Italy. Breakfast was very nice with a lot to choose from. Our hosts was very friendly and helpful. We absolutely stay here again if ever in the area. Warmly recommended!

We have enjoyed a simply wonderful weekend at La Torretta, courtesy of our hugely welcoming, considerate and great, great fun hosts. While the village is stunningly beautiful, the surrounding countryside equally beguiling, and the property itself supremely charming and immaculately presented, it was the quality and genuine warmth of the hospitality that really made our stay so special. Maureen, Roberto and Jennifer are a great team, and ensured that our group of six couples was very well fed, lubricated, exercised and entertained. We will certainly return to here, one of our favourite places In Italy.
