What a beautiful hotel with fabulous pool and direct access to beach. Phillipo on reception was so helpful during our stay. Breakfast was very fresh and staff were so friendly . Everywhere was spotlessly clean. This is a very good value for money hotel . I would definitely recommend it.

My husband and I had an especially wonderful 4 days at this charming hotel. We were very happy with our quaint room, balcony and unbelievable views. Breakfast which is included was more than adequate. So delightful to sit outside and linger over one more cappuccino! The dinners were delicious and a chance to try new delicacy’s. Had my first coffee creama at the pool bar. My new Italian favorite drink! We could walk the beach which was only a few steps away. The beautiful sea was so refreshing. We were only a short walk to the shopping restaurant area. Philippo the manager could not have been more accommodating. He secured all of our travel tickets and taxis to and from Ischia. He and his staff truly made us feel like family! I was so sad to have to leave. We can’t wait till we can again visit and stay at Hotel Ambasciatori and the beautiful island of Ischia!

My husband and I traveled to Ischia after a family wedding in Tuscany, which was perfect! We had always wanted to go to Ischia and were not disappointed. Hotel Ambasciatori and staff especially the manager, Phillipo, couldn't have been more accommodating! The town with wonderful shops and restaurants was within walking distance. It was all beautiful. We really hope to return in the near future!!

The hotel is in a great setting right by the sea . We were greeted with a warm welcome, Our room was ready so a quick check in and off to our room. We had booked a sea view room and that`s what we got a lovely room with a perfect sea view and a small balcony. The room was very traditional style with lovely old floor tiles. spotlessly clean. Nice small shower room with a great shower. clean towels every day. and toiletries top up daily. Bed very comfortable a great nights sleep. They offer a free breakfast which is a light breakfast of pastries, meats, cheeses, bread, yogurts, juices etc. The pools are lovely the out door has the sea views and plenty on sun beds to relax on. The indoor pool is a real treat the thermal pool is a warm pool to relax in after a great day out it`s so soothing and the minerals in the water make you skin really soft. loved it. and it is free to use. also a sauna and a steam room. The reception team (Philippo) and the lady were excellent very helpful with all the information on what to do where to go and must see while on the island. They have bus tickets for the local buses 1.50 euro to any where. which is easy than queuing up for them. Also they will pick up your ferry tickets for you for your return crossing to Naples. All part of their great service. We had a great holiday and would recommend this hotel, we hope to return one day as it was so lovely. (Hotel is about a straight 15 minute walk from the port very easy to get to. We paid 15 euros for a taxi which took 5 minutes. So walked back to port.)

I have just returned from a 5 night stay here with my mum. We had a lovely time at this hotel and in Ischia. Ischia is a very traditional and unspoilt island and the hotels there reflect that. They are very traditional and quaint, which a few other reviewers seem to see as 'in need of updating'. If anything was tatty, worn or in need of repair I would agree but everything at this hotel is immaculate. The tiled floors throughout are stunning and the thermal spa is a wonderful surprise. The staff here went absolutely out of their way to be friendly and helpful. For example, the maids noticed I'd left a rolled up towel under my pillow one night and brought an extra pillow for me without being asked. That's what I call service! This level of service was echoed by the waiting staff, reception and manager who were all exceptional. By the end of our stay we felt like family. The location of this hotel couldn't be better. You are right in the middle of everything and yet it is so peaceful. Lovely shops and cafes are on the doorstep as well as the beach. Ischia Ponte is 10 mins walk as is the bus station. So glad we stayed in Ischia Porto and not in Forio which was touristy in the worst way and nothing to write home about. Thank you to everyone at the Ambasciatore for making our stay so lovely.

We had a very warm welcome. We arrived early and room was ready within 30 minutes. Ferry transfer arranged from hotel. We had a beautiful ocean view with terrace. Staff was very helpful with travel. Filippo !!! What can I say... he is absolutely amazing and makes the hotel a gem. He assisted with unplanned last minute anniversary dinner.. that turned out amazing. Hotel is a bit dated but has so much character. Hotel extremely clean. Room was very nice. My only true complaint were the towels ... they were really thin and old. Spa was included and had large indoor pool with steam and sauna and showers. Very modern. Breakfast was good, plenty of meats and cheese and eggs and baked treats. Coffee from a machine was ok. Hotel very safe. Very central located and walking distance to shopping, restaurants, castle and pier. Beach was just behind the hotel. Very nice with sun chair to rent and public beach to sit. We would definitely recommend this hotel. Once again we can’t say enough about Filippo he is absolutely amazing!!!

The owners - 2 cousins who hate each other and don't care about anything is just a beginning. Management of this hotel is a big fat liars and you will be disappointed with the service. Beds are extremely uncomfortable - they call them "orthopedic beds" - after 1 night you would want to sleep on a floor. The shower - is just enough for a child size to step in. The food: since the food is included with the price of the hotel you have a choice of either breakfast and lunch, or breakfast and dinner. Make sure you are there for a dinner at 8pm. If not - the food is going to be gone (appetizers). The towels are very thin and are not good for you to take a shower and/or bring to the beach. You will not feel dry - but once again, the hotel doesn't care - they will be telling you that it is their standards. They dont' care - because they will not be undersold as they are located right on a beach. Don't believe their pictures - they are big liars.

Not five stars because I feel like this hotel could use updating. It is clean and is in a fabulous location but it still looks like the 80s inside. It was very nice being so close to the town strip with shops and restaurants as well as being ON the beach and having a pool. But this review is mostly about Fillipo. He keeps this hotel running and is an absolute gem. He is so caring especially for those who don't speak Italian and want to have a nice time on the island of Ischia. He gave us all sorts of tour and free sight-seeing options and even dinner recommendations and bus tickets. He made this trip so special! Thank you Fillipo!

booked a luxury seaview and got view of car park and dustbins..... The owner/director is in serious need of customer care training, he offered us 10euro discount and then increases of 10/20euro till we finally agreed on 90euro discount for the first night, dreadful behaviour, it should have been offered free as we had to change rooms on the second day and lost hours of our holiday on the first & second day. Not even an apology. The salvation is the front of house manager Filippo is a gem and saves this hotel from floundering, he is professional and helpful.A true asset to the hotel.
