This is a well restored house with views over the lake within very easy walking distance of the centre of Huelgoat. Being equidistant from the south coast (Carnac and the menhirs) north coast (seascapes) and west coast, it makes a good centre for exploring Brittany. We had a large 2nd floor room, with sofa and tables and a large velux...

We stayed here recently as a base whilst visiting friends in the area. Rachael and her family are extremely friendly and nothing was too much bother if you asked for a cup of tea, toast, towels etc. We had a lovely attic room over looking the lake that was nice and roomy with a good sized bathroom and shower. Our...

As stated by other reviewers, Rachel runs an excellent B &B especially for cyclists. We did a there and back cycle and on our return visit, it felt just like going to stay with an old friend, landed up coming away with one of her recipes. Just like to say for other cyclists, the hill from Locomaria berrien is fine,...

Really nice room and very comprehensive breakfast with the added bonus of views across the Lake. First class service from Rachel and good communications through email prior to booking. Best recommendation? we'll book it again next time.

Stayed at the end of May for 6 nights. Rachael and Co were so friendly and welcoming. We felt more like friends rather than guests. Our two daughters loved being at O'Briens especially making cookies with Rachael and meeting her four horses. The breakfast was lovely, especially Rachael's cakes. Would return in a heart beat as Brittany is so beautiful...

A really first class experience in Huelgoat. After a long day in the saddle cycling from Roscoff we could not have received a better welcome - or a more helpful one! Arrived with a rear wheel puncture which was immediately set upon by the family cycle repair genius - all sorted! Our room had a great view over the lake...

Stayed here in June 2012 and were made to feel very much at home, a pot of real tea on our arrival. The rooms were excellent with magnificant views over the lake. We enjoyed our stay so much we went back in September and had yet another welcoming overnight. I had fallen earlier in the day and had injured my...

We are frequent visiters to France from Jersey but had never heard of Heulgoat until we visited friends who were staying nearby. Wow what a jewel we found! We arrived at the O'Briens to a very warm and friendly welcome. The hospitality was second to none. We stayed for 3 nights in the spacious attic room with superb views over...

Stopped here one night on a cycling trip. The hosts were very friendly and helpful. We stayed in the room in the attic with a lovely view onto the lake. Very comfy and stylishly decorated. Excellent value for money. 11/10 if the WiFi had been working more effectively!

Thank Chris W
